Hello,
what could be the problem of this radio even if the accessories wire(red) is not connected the power of the radio can be turn ON?

If the positive wire is not hooked up then it will not work

Reconnect all cut wires should be color coated match them back should be fine. Make sure wire color connection match same color.

You have a fuse for the factory amplifier. It will be lo ated in the fuse panel.

I JUST HAD MY FACTORY RADIO SOUND FIXED IT WAS THE WIRES FROM THE FACTORY AMP IN THE TRUNK TO THE STEREO. WIRES RAN ALONG THE PASSENGER SIDE FLOOR BOARD. WIRES CORRODED BECAUSE OF A MOON ROOF WATER LEAK THAT CAUSED WATER TO SETTLE ON THE PASSENGER FRONT FLOOR. REPLACED WIRES I PAID 100.00 TO HAVE STEREO PUT BACK IN AND WIRE CHANGED, ON STAR EVEN WORKS AGAIN I HOPE THAT HELPED. NOW FOR MY LEAK ERRR

Yes it does you interuptted a power supply. You basically need to get another power B+ from a different source like the battery itself. Or a empty fuse slot. Becareful even with a common ground for cruise and speed gauge.

03 monte carlo ss power seat wont go down. how to fix?


i have a 2003 monte carlo and the wires came out of the plug under the seat. im trying to put them back in so my seat will be able to work. there are 12 wires that make up 6 connections. i need to know what wires go together. the wires are red with blue strip, red with green strip, red with white strip, yellow with blue strip, yellow with green strip, yellow with white strip, light green, green, peach, blue, light blue, and yellow.

2003 chev monte carlo battery died, R/R and now radio not powering up or working not even a code ?? need a free wiring diagram??


try the under the hood fuse first, it has a 60 amp large fuse it may have shorted out and maybe you didn't even need a new battery

Wire color to radio


light green and dark green -- right front speaker
tan and gray -- left front speaker
light blue and dark blue -- righr rear speaker
yellow and brown -- left rear speaker
orange -- constant power
yellow -- switched power
black w/ white stripe ground

always use a dc electrical test light to be certain your power connections are correct.
