SOURCE: How to turn off cash register journal printing (casio CR140)?

If it's not in your manual you can't turn it off. Besides why would you want to turn it off. It's there to make it easier to find mistakes and to make it easier for you to catch your employees stealing from you. Leave it on; paper's cheap.

I haven't seen this model but it sounds like you haven't logged on. Look up clerk sign on in the operation section of your manual.

My tec ma 1450 register won't work just blinks 0.00 and none of the keys work

With paper loaded properly, turn off/unplug register, turn MA or Service key to "Blind" position (approx. 5 o'clock), turn on/plug in register. "Status-C" will print on the receipt. Some of these TEC's won't reset after changing paper, and this procedure becomes necessary after each installation of a new roll of paper.

Hi, I need to change the ABN that prints out on my Toshiba TEC FS 1650. I have the keypad over lay, but no idea where to start?

There should be a section in the manual called something like receipt message programming. I don't have any information on this model, but I found a manual here: http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/TEC_FS-1650_programming_manual.html

Sharp electronic cash register XE-A203 - keeps printing receipt

I don't have this particular cash register, But I took a look at the manual and I recommend the following:

A. Turn the cash register off.

B. Unplug it.

C. Remove the batteries.

D. Wait at least five minutes.

E. Initialize the cash register. This procedure was copied from thwe manual:

In order to operate the cash register properly, you must initialize it before operating for the first time. Follow this
procedure.

1. Insert the manager (MA) key into the mode switch and turn it to the REG position.

2. Insert the plug of the AC power cord into the AC outlet. The buzzer will sound
three times.

IMPORTANT: This operation must be performed without batteries installed.

3.
The cash register has now been initialized. The register display will show
"0.00" and then “NO BATTERY”.

If the buzzer does not sound when the plug is inserted, the initialization has not been done
successfully. (This will occur when the voltage is high because you operated the cash register
before starting initialization.) Wait at least one minute after pulling out the plug and insert the plug
again.

F. Download trhe manual from here:

http://www.ormsson.is/skjol//skrifstofutaeki/xe-a203,213,303_manual.pdf

And proceed to program your sales tax (or VAT), departments, clerks, etc.
