Acer monitors are usually put together with 5 screws on the back of the monitor, 4 where you can see them and 1 under the pivot mount, this can be accessed by removing the pivot cover and then unscrewing the pedestal then you can get the last screw, after that you need to pry the half shells apart and then you can get at the cover for the power board the VGA screws and the power socket screws must also be removed.

My i2352Fh monitor has developed a white vertical line which tracks back and forth across the middle half of the screen how do i get rid of it? the screen is 3 months oldn

Thanks Melony - had exactly the same problem - your post above helped me fix it...... Here is how to fix it .
  • On the base of the screen press the Menu button (far right),
  • Then press < or > to get to the Extra (looks like a screwdriver and spanner) and press Menu again to Enter.
  • Press < or > until you have selected the RESET and press menu again to Enter.

The line should be gone. Close the menus and all should be fine. I hope this helps someone. I searched the internet and this was the only post that gave me a clue. Thanks again.

Monitor malfunction

Hi!
You might also try to connect another monitor, to check if has the same behavior. In this case the problem is generated at graphics card or from loosen cable connections.

Height adjust for Dell UltraSharp 1907FP 19" LCD Monitor

Is it stuck, or just not adjustable? Try setting it on a phonebook. I'm kidding. If it is an adjustable base, sometimes they need a little downward pressure before the button will depress and allow it to move upward.

Thanks,
Chris

Viewsonic vg2021m base mount

Gently lay the nonitor, face down, on a table such that it will not be damaged while you remove the base. You will find a curved strip of plastic about 1 1/4 inch wide and 4 inches long. Near the center of this strip, you will find two parallel plastic ridges. These are clips that hold the base to the monitor support post. Squeeze these clips together to remove the base from the support post. I was able to squeeze the rear strip toward the rear of the base and ease the rear of the base off that clip and it came apart ok. It is a bit tricky, but doable. Good luck.

Power on/off

Hi, Try using another outlet.
Does your AC power cord have any indicator lights which is why you know the power cable works fine?
Base on your assessment, I would say the power supply board on the monitor needs to be replaced.
Thanks,
Mike H.

Dell 1900fp 19" moniter Ultrasharp

Button on the bottom back base raises and lowers, if not low enough then you can remove the base. removal button is back and center of monitor.
of course you will have to deal with a way to mount it then.
