Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-32FV310 32" TV
I turn it on the light blinks upwards to 14 times shuts down and I have to turn it on again with no picture, I have to change channels a few times before I get a picture, and the picture is washed out faded
It system memory IC has the trouble. It is an eight solder terminal IC, can be located very near to the main system control IC. Replace it with same number. Its' number is most important to note, when you buy a new one.
A skilled job indeed.

Its magnetic effect on picture tube. Power Off TV for 20-30 minutes then turn it On, hope problem will be resolved. Please also check and remove any speaker or some thing have magnet near by TV.
If color spots are still there, picture tube need to degaussed / demagnetized.

SOURCE: FADING COLORS
After 13 years, the most likely cause is a tired picture tube. There are adjustments that can be made to address this, but they would be short lived. Rather than spend money on this set, put it toward a replacement. After 13 years, the set owes you nothing.
