Question about GE Spacemaker (74290) Clock Radio
I'm even willing to take the radio partially apart if I can somehow add a wire inside to work like an antenna.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

I had this same problem, I wanted to use this tv with a converter box and the only way to do this was to hook up the converter box with an external antenna to the small 3.5mm input on the back. If you go to radio Shack and get an "F to 1/8" Adapter"the radio shack part number is "278-257". It worked perfectly. I'm able to get many clear channels, and with the converter box I now have remote control. It works well. Good luck, I hope this helps

It could be the plastic coupler part #942560. Remove your glass tray and lift up the plastic piece in the middle. It slides off of the motor. If it is broken that is your problem.
