SOURCE: JVC AV-27020 TV Blinking LED, Static Electricity on tube but no sound and image

Sounds like a bad main regulator IC.. Try putting a 100 watt light bulb across the main AC fuse, turn on the set and see if it will stay on longer. If it does, replace the main regulator iC. If it does not, then it could be almost anything in the sweep section of the set, and or in the regulation circuit of the power supply. Look for slightly swollen capacitors in the set. good Luck please do not forget to rate this thread.

in jvc av-27020 we called that problem as on timer.your red LED indicator blinking.the reason is your vertical ic is defective if your vertical ic is la7832 replace it with la7840 if there is no la7832.that is most common cause of blinking in jvc 27020

SOURCE: JVC tv i'art blinking timer

It is protecting you and itself with high probability.
Power supplies in modern electronic devices are designed to cycle if there is a fault in circuitry they are servicing and because of the design, also will not turn on completely if they are failing.

The older style of power supply was 'dumb' and unable to do this so could cause fires if the failure wasn't teh 'right' kind to blow the main fuse.

I agree with the manual; this is a job for a tech.

I changed capacitor C926 (1000Uf 16V) on main board. It solved the problem. I went with 1000uF 63V as it was readily available...it's okay to go with higher voltage. It was hard to fit it on because of the larger size but it worked.

I was playing a game and it made a sound then shut off now my on timer light is blinking. when i unplug and plug back in the timer light stops blinking for a second then starts again.

Something shorted in the set, possibly the horizontal output transistor or a power supply diode. The reason it starts blinking again after plug in is because JVC try to come back on if they were on when the problem started. In other words, if it quit while it was playing it will always be in the on position until the problem is repaired and it can be turned off normally. Have a shop check it out for you. There are a lot of things that can cause one to go out. Thanks

Blinking Timer Button

The tv must of turned on the timer by itself. They do do that sometimes. I suggest leaving it unplugged for 24 hours to reset itself.
If problem persists, you may be able to go to your menu and access the sleep mode timer and set it to 0:00 or OFF

The on light is blinking but there is no picture or sound.

I have the same problem with my JVC AV27750, the problem is probably the power supply relay circuit, just check and replace the 1000uf capacitor

The timer on button flashes

The timer light blinking indicates a failure in the TV set. Either the vertical circuit or horizontal circuit has failed and needs repair. It actually has nothing to do with the timer circuit.
In my experience its probably a vertical output chip, smalla capacitor and zener diode. There may also be an open resistor.
Cost to repair in the 50-75 dollar range usually

I have the JVC AV-27020 and had to download the manual just today. I checked where I got my manual and they did not have anything for an ACV-27020. The link for the TV manual I downloaded is below. Maybe it will help.
