SOURCE: The light on my Ashdown

If you mean the light in the meter, those can be hard to replace and mosts shops would replace the meter itself which would up the cost. It is probably a 12 or 14 volt bulb(s). Look at the back of the meter and see if there is a removable socket to get at the bulb... if not, then the bulb(s) is internal and probably a soldered in grain of wheat bulb(s). If you have never worked on meters before it takes GREAT care to keep contamination out when working on them. I would certainly not pay $85 to have bulbs replaced... use an external lamp if you really need to seee the meter... one of the little LED ones would work.

Testimonial: "fredy2 Thaks for the information. I did some digging on the web and found the correct term for the light problem, lol It's called the VU meter light. "

How to chaing the fues

On the larger models, there is a small door directly beneath the power plug. On this model, the manual does not show a door but, the fuse may be there under the plastic. I'm really not sure. Removing the 2 screws on each side may allow the plug to be pulled out, unless there is a door.

I need Schematica from the Ashdown little giant. I expect that the fan is not properly connected.

Don't have the schematics for this one... have for a 500 watt one... HOWEVER from that one the schematic shows that the fan is "throttled" by a negative temp resistor which should run the fan when the temp goes up where the sensor is located. The fan MAY not run at all until the temp reaches a certain point.

Where can i get a replacement power transformer

Strange request... power transformers rarely go out and this one seems to be very well protected by fuses. I would verify that the transformer is actually bad before trying to get another. You would likely have to go to the original manufacturer at great expense. There is also the question of why it would go out. I see rectifiers and filter caps that OFTEN are the problem as well as the power amp itself.

Hi ther the fuse has blown on the speaker out circet on my new amp any ideas why this would happen?

The fuse blew because of excess current. The cause of the excess current is either excess volume, a short in the speaker, OR the amp has failed and is shorted to one of the power rails internally and is driving DC current out.

Replace the fuse and use a meter to check the output voltage with NO speaker connected. It should be under 1/2 volt period. If it is, then check the resistance of the speaker. The DC resistance should be a little less than the rated impedance. Otherwise if the amp is kicking out a higher voltage or blows the fuse again, have the amp repaired.

I need a circuit for an Ashdown Klystron 500.

See if this might be what you are looking for:

This is a foreign site and I am not sure if the ABM500 matches your unit.

I recently fixed my ashdown head that I now know works. But when I hooked it up to my Randall 4 12 stack I get nothing. What could be the problem with the stack?

If the amp originally failed, it MAY have blown out a circuit protector or fuse in the stack. Check the stack resistance with an ohmmeter. It should probably be around 8 ohms.

My Ashdown Superfly head has a dodgy jack input socket i have to physically push the jack up or down to get a connection , and this connection gets lost alot in performance with the result of no sound from...

The jacks are basically mechanical. You need to replace it. It PROBABLY is mounted on a circuit board. SOMETIMES they are hard to get at and whole boards have to be removed to get at the soldering. Others are easy to get to.

Best to take to a repair shop if you are not comfortable with electronics.

Recommend you ALWAYS loop your cables through something as tripping over or yanking the cable is common cause of breaking the jacks.
