SOURCE: dewalt power saw wiring diagram for trigger switch

The Switching should go like this

(single letters denote wire color)

Y---o o---R

B---o o---B

The contacts where the black wires attach are the points on the switch that break when continuity is checked.

Does the switch not have color words on the back of it? They used to. Go to Dewaltservicenet.com and look up your model number and type number. Wiring diagrams will be found there. Lemme know. Please rate me

DeWalt DW708 switch

This is the newer 744 series, white cord to white motor and black cord wire to black motor.

If your motor needs the mag starter that 5th loose wire, usually red, goes to the start terminal on the mag starter.

Rebuild dw708

I assume you are asking about the Dewalt
DW708 TYPE 3 Crosscut Miter Sawas seen here
http://www.ereplacementparts.com/dewalt-dw708-type-crosscut-miter-saw-parts-c-1009_1163_2604.html

Have you taken it apart yet? You will need screwdrivers, spring clip pliers, small bearing puller and a pipe same diameter as the inside of the bearing; for replacement of bearing.
Be sure to take out the brushes before taking out the armature.
Part 165-90
You most likely will have to replace part 87 too.
The bearing rests in there and gets worn too.
Serious bearing/vibration problems causes the end cap part 84, to wear out.

How do you replace a broken locking pin on dewalt dw708 miterbox? thx

You do not have to drill anything out, if you are talking about the hold-down locking pin that keeps the blade assy locked down when not in use. I have created a tutorial for replacing the locking pin, you can find it here, http://mgfic.com/dewalt708_lockingpin.htm
