Do not use WD40 on anything you want able to move- it is an effective glue.

If you routinely used WD 40 on the saw- move it outdoors so you can spray the trunion with carb cleaner and then put a heat lamp on it for a while. This should soften the WD40 goo- Convair who originally developed the product stopped using it once this tendency to glue things together was noticed. They sold the rights and the formula to a former employee who made WD 40 what it is today.

It has it's uses, but not in precision mechanisms. I use it with pumice to clean the rust off machined iron table tops- that was where i found out just how strong it can be- I had just finished on saw table and gave it a light spray and merely set a 7 inch blade on the table. I came back about 2 weeks later, 1 inch of the blade overhang the 50s era Craftsman table saw- I could lift the side of the saw- if I wanted to tip the saw over just holding the blade- I could have done so. It came loose with starting ether.

you may need to reapply the carb cleaner a few times to was enough of the goo out of the trunion. Once loose again- get some 20 weight synthetic oil and brush it on- set the angle only midway so you can get fresh oil into the spaces occupied by goo as you move the arbor back up to 90 then back down to 45 then back to 90.

As I said, WD40 has it's uses, but not for anything precision.

I have a 1/16" tilt

Your question is not very clear. Here are several answers.
By tilt you may be speaking of bevel adjustment 0 - 45 Some saws have hidden under the table or obvious positive bevel stops or screws in the table top for 90 and 45 degree. Adjust them.
You may have a bent or warped blade causing the "tilt."
Thin blades may be stiffened with blade stabilizing washers $14
With the saw unplugged remove the blade. Grab the threaded arbor shaft and pull it up and down. Next push the shaft straight in and out. If there is wiggle the bearings are worn and may need replacing.

How do I fix one of the frame support buttons on a Bugaboo Cameleon, as the lefthand button is stuck?

Do you mean the tilt buttons? If so you need to disassemble the buttons, which can be done with two screwdrivers one a thin slot type the other a phillips. Here's the process: 1. Behind the white button is a screw. Remove it using the phillips screwdriver. 2. You'll now have a black housing with a white button held in by three white tabs. 3. Free the white button from the housing by pressing inwards on each of the three tabs with the slot type screwdriver. 4. You'll now have a black base, a spring and a white button. 5. Sand the circumference of the white button evenly until it slips easily in and out of the black surround. A little silicon spray is a good idea. 6.Reassemble and repeat for the other side.

My CanoScan LIDE 90 will start scanning, then stop, while making a sort of grinding sound. Over and over the same thing. done it since new just never took it back!!!!!!

Remove the glass using a knife to remove the the gray plastic on both sides and in front. They are held in place with double-sided tape. Clean the inside of the glass with rubbing alcohol. Also clean the insides of the center track and the silicon bumps on both sides of the scanning wand. put a tiny amount of spray silicon on a Q-tip and run it up and down the insides of that center track. Use the Q-tip again to wipe the silicon bumps. put it back together and there you go!

Starts. Runs well for 45-60 sec then dies.

Mine was doing this and I just took the top off and disconnected all the fuel lines and blew them out. There were 2 up by the igniter, and 1 back on the pump. I blew them out with an air compressor. Put it all back together and it works like a charm. So I'm thinking it was a clogged fuel pick up in the tank.

Unplug the unit. Pull it forward and tilt it back about 45 degrees. Use a 6mm allen wrench to remove the botom center screw in the white "wheel" . Remove the "wheel". Remove the 4 5/16 screws that hold the coils in . Unplug the 3 pin connector and clean the male side pins. Reassemble in reverse.
