Did you do a backup of your system when you bought your laptop? If you did you can use the disk/s to restore your computer to factory default. If not antother thing you can try is looking in control panel to see if the wireless is still displaying. If not go to add hardware and see if it picks it up again. Or you can try going to control panel, system, device manager, and see if there is an exclamation mark next to wirless, this indicates a problem, right click it and go to properties, then go to update driver. If this doesn't work, but the exclamation mark is there try right clicking and go to uninstall. Reboot the computer and it should pick it up again as new hardware and install it again. Hope this helps

sounds to be a bug in the system

ensure the program is working, goto system restore and turn it off
turn back on again, this will remove all the old ones, they could have the bug in them,

create a restore point now, then download "combofix.exe"
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe

run this

it gives a report when finished, the top section shows deletions, this is the stuff it found

I need to restore my PC to Factory settings but i no longer have any of the discs. Is there a restore option. It is a Tiny Computers model number MS 6741

If its Vista and if it has a partition with necessary restore files, you can do it. Turn on your PC, go to Startup Repair and select Factory Backup if you see one.

I need to restart my laptop to factory settings

if you want it to be factory settings, you would need the exact same Operatin Sytem installation disk which they probably didnt give you. The reason i say the same is because your serial numbers wont match as your original OS. Anyways if you only doing it to sell the laptop or two have a fresh Operating system, i would recomend you !1) Get a copy os Windows XP
2) Backup all your important files
3) Format your laptop and reinstall XP
4) Restore your files
5) Download (If you dont have it already) your drivers for your laptop. This can be found on Toshibas website.
6) Install all drivers and thats it. You have a Factory Set Laptop

Everex rs2800 recovery

When you start up the computer there should be something in the boot up that says press this key to restore or something like that before you get to windows. The rs2800 has a secondary partition that has all of the files and windows installations to restore the PC back to factory install.

Contact Dell technical support to get the CD read the partition on your hard drive to restore to factory settings. It won't be able to work without one since it has to boot from the CD in order to get it to work.

I want to restore my laptop to factory settings. I have a compaq, presario v4000 but it did not come with a system restore cd.

baby,
There is an option to make system restore disk for your Lap.
Goto Start->Program -> HP Recovery -> Create System recovery.
WARRNING: its one time runnign software. So use good quality DVD to make your recovery DVD and keep it safe.
It might take 2-3 DVD so be patient as it will take time.
  • After creating DVD, make copy of all your important documents/file to any where like flash memory/CD or DVD as all the files and softwares will be deleted which you have installed/copied or saved after first boot.
  • Then re-start your lap with the created first recovery DVD.
  • Follow the on screen instructions...

There is also a way to run your recovery from your HDD.
  • Keep pressing F9 after booting your lap till Boot Selection menu appears. Select Recovery and follow the on screen instructions. But before recovery make all backups of your important data.

If any question just..Ask me.

Thanks
Iqbal
