Question about Coffee Makers & Espresso Machines
Hello! I bought an used coffee machine "Impressa S95", but now i have a problem. Even when i start the machine, or after a coffee, or just after while, a message appears and it don't disappear, even i try to set everything, reset, power off and on again. Sometimes after a time i let it stopped, it let me make coffee. The message it's "PRESS KEY / POWDER QUANTITY", i know what this usually means, but this should appear when i press that button, not random and blocking the machine. I looked into the manual but i couldn't find any type of error like this, any ideea. If it's possible to give any possible solution, i would be very happy. Thank you!

I have a Siemens surpresso S40 with the same problem.
Try to fill the tank with hot water. I dont't know why but it solved the problem for me.

its a grinder group fault , the seal on the internal group head (the part that compresses the ground before brewing) has stuck or gone dry from lack of use. if u gain access to the internal of the machine( may need a special tool, oval head srews) grease with food grade lube, the red/orange seal on the long 45 degree cylinder inside. u can manually turn the gear by hand once inside. If still a problem check the motor that drives the same unit.

A hose has popped off inside the unit. It is probably due to calcification (waiting too long between cleanings), or using too much powder (more than 2 tbsp) on the manual powder function.

You need to open the grinder, it`s probably packed with old fine powdered coffee that blocks the outlet. Clean this out and try again. Since it works normal when you use pre-ground coffee, there shouldn`t be any problems with any other parts.
Let me know if you want a description for have to open and clean the grinder.
