Cable box is plugged into denon's hdm1, but I can't get a picture. Hdm1 out monitor (arc) is plugged to TV hdm1 in (arc).

Power up all components. Select the HDMI 1 input on the Denon amp, and the HDMI 1 input on the TV. Additionally, run the old analog cables between the cable box and the TV. If no picture, select the input on the TV that is associated with the analog input from the cable box. You should have a picture at this point - but it will be a standard definition type. Check the settings on the cable box to change the output from "A / V" to Digital on the HDMI jack - if present. You may have better luck unplugging power / replugging in the cable box first - or calling the cable company if you can't find settings for this. Once you have the output of the cable box to HDMI, select HDMI on the TV. If you still don't have it working - try bypassing the Denon and go directly into the TV from the cable box. Try it with BOTH HDMI cables. Also - try different inputs and out puts (HDMI 2, HDMI 3, etc.). Discard any HDMI cable that fails to show video and play audio.

How should hdm1 cord go between tv and DVD player

If the dvd player has an hdmi output, insert 1 end of the cable there and the other end of the cable insert it behind the tv into the hdmi input. Just make sure that both dvd and tv have hdmi to hook up both together .

Turned on tv and got a green tinted picture. sometimes can be cured by turning tv off and then back on. if i leave tv on the problem comes and goes . this is a sony kf60we610

Take out all the connections,to the main video backlight board.Check for lose connections, damage connections cables?Reconnect all connections, turn on the tv jiggles the cables connections, see any tint,or flashes, than ur cables wiring must change have internal cables damges, not than ur backlight video board degrading, just not have serious prob.yet.

Sounds like the either the connection from the cable/sat box is loose or the board connecting the cables to the tv is loose. If you try unplugging and then reconnecting the cables and hold the cables in tight that might give you and idea. If you hold the cables in tight and the tv works right, then you know its your board. If thats the case the Tv needs to be serviced. Otherwise you might try using some other cables.
