What size memory card for a 5mp

The Z740 works with MMC and SD cards. MMC cards are all but extinct, but SD cards up to 2GB in size are still plentiful. You should be able to buy them at just about any department, electronics, or office-supply store. Just make sure you get SD cards, not SDHC or SDXC cards.
The camera will work with all size SD cards. Obviously, the bigger the card the more pictures it can hold. Also, the bigger the card the more pictures you risk if you lose or break the card.
One school of thought says get the biggest card you can and then be very careful with it. Another school of thought says get two or more smaller cards and spread the risk.

Question : Why doesn't my camera recognize the SECURE DIGITAL (SD) or MultiMedia (MMC) memory card that is in the camera? Answer : Your camera may not recognize the memory card inside for one of the following reasons:
  • The card is not fully inserted in the camera. Turn off the camera, insert a card into the slot, then push to seat it.
  • The card may be corrupted. Reformat the memory card.
CAUTION: Formatting deletes all pictures and videos, including those that are protected. Removing a card during formatting may damage the card.
  • The card may not be a certified SD or MMC card. Purchase a certified SD or MMC memory card.
See your camera's user manuals for more information. Go to KODAK Product Manuals, and select the manuals you need.

I'm missing the camera card. How do I get a

This 5MP (Megapixel) camera has 16MB built-in memory and has an SD card slot.

Your camera uses either MMC of SD memory cards.
Radio Shack, BestBuy, Fry's, Office Depot, Office Max, has them.
Start with a 1GB SD card (Don't use MMC).

A 1GB card will hold almost 500 pictures at maximum resolution (5MP).
(Fry's is lowest cost, then Best Buy)

I have a canon A530 digital camera and its mode switch on the right top corner has broken and is lost and we cannot download photos to our computer, etc

To download the pictures, remove the SD/MMC card from the camera (in the battery compartment) by pushing on it, then releasing it, and putting it in an SD/MMC card reader connected to your computer.
