Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
My console has a message saying that data base has to be rebuilt
If it keeps saying that the hard drive needs to be reformatted, then you you have a bad hard drive if it will not reformat. It's very easy to replace your hard drive. Thanks!

Tips for a great answer:
Apr 22, 2011 | Sony PlayStation 3 (120 GB) Black Console
Oct 25, 2008 | Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
Firstly don't worry, your HDD has become corrupted which is quite common if you don't switch your PS3 off properly.
Its difficult to say whether you'll lose any data or not, but if you rebuild the database your HDD should be fixed. If it gives you an option to rebuild the database then choose it.
If it doesn't then access the recovery menu and choose option 3 as described in the thread below.
Any further questions feel free to ask.
Correct? a nice vote would be awsome
