Question about Canon Optura 40 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
I've owned my Canon Optura 40 for almost 4 years. To date, it's performed flawlessly recording many important moments of our children. Two days ago, it stopped playing back video and sound. All I am able to get from the playback is a blue screen.
I'd hate to think it's cooked... any ideas before I'm forced to replace it, especially now that my son is starting to crawl???
Try a cleaning tape. Buy a good quality cleaning tape (Panasonic makes one) and remember: cleaning tapes are abrasive so don't overuse it! Overuse can result in the need to replace the rotating drum assy in the camcorder. I'll bet a cleaning tape takes care of your problem.
