To write to a DVD you need the software which supports DVD burinig.

Please go to the website www.download.com and download the Nero 8 Ultra Edition 8.3.0

You will be able to burn on to DVD and even create DVD movies without problem.

Thanks

Use Nero burning software for burning videos and other files that you want to burn. your video should be decoded if your video file cannot read by your burning software. Tell me exactly the video types that youve transferred in your computer that came from your camcorder. if still nothing happens then try to convert your video files on a certain video converter before you burn it. Im using xilisoft video converter. tell me if you have further questions, i really like to help you on your problem. hope that helps

thank you for using fixya

base on what ive read your camcorder has a switch to back up your files to your computer.

this is what ive read from this link on jvc

    http://www.jvc.com/presentations/everio_...

Data archiving has never been easier. Just press the DIRECT BACKUP button, and data that has not yet been backed up can be transferred to a PC automatically. And it's fast, with transfer at up to 9-times real-time speed. So a top-quality Ultra mode 60-minute (4GB) video clip can be transferred in less than 7 minutes!

if transferring would be easy just like what jvc company said then you might really need a decoder to play or view a files came from your camcorder.

1st of all can you play the movie on your computer? If not, you are probably missing the programs and drivers necessary to do anything with the AVI file.
Videos on the computer generally run with avi or mpeg files. You have to have the drivers to play these files before you can run them.... otherwise, there should be no reason why they don't run.

Panasonic sdr-h40p cannot connect to my pc

hi all, i had exactly the same problem and finally managed to sort it out, here to share with u all. The AC adapter is the one looks like a battery cable which comes with the camcorder. You have to remove the battery first, and plug the AC adapter into the place where the battery was, then connect the other end to the battery charger. Now you can select the PC connect option and transfer your videos. Hope it helps. =)

Trensferring Files to PC

Hello,

The codec needed to extract audio is not present in your computer. Maybe you need to install all the application program from the CD/DVD enclosed in your Camera. Or you can use other player other than windows media player.

I recommend you to download the player that content multi codecs, the link is here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Media_Player_Classic.htm

may this solve your problem.

best regards, melnavz

Did you install the software that came on the CD? When you do that, connect the camera to the PC via USB, turn the camera on, select your choice. You can playback to PC, create a DVD, etc.

There are no drivers needed per the software guide that also documents the USB file transfer process.
Windows user -- the software mentioned is not available online -- an update for vista is however.
There are two model numbers on this site if you can determine which one is yours click the appropriate link.

Fire wire and video driver problems

Horizontal bars on the LCD display is ONE indicator of a dirty playback head on the camcorder. Purchase a head cleaning tape (Bestbuy, Target, etc., for about $20) and try cleaning the playback head. I had to do that on my SC-D365 yesterday (9/7/07) and it cleared up the problem. Good luck!

I have a JVC Everio GZ-HD3AA camcorder which I recently purchased. I am able to connect it a TV and watch video files, but they all appear in black and white!
The downloaded movies to my laptop (Acer aspire 5630) with windows vista as the operating system are played in slow motion on the laptop screen.
