Check your control panel to see if wireless is still there. If it isn't go to add hardware and see if this picks your wirless back up.

I hope this helps

My Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945BG Network Connection , has a limited connectivity to the internet

Sometime when you switch on the computer and the wireless router (if you turn it off after using it) the computer does not get an IP address from the router in time when the computer finishes booting up. This problem may not occur all the time.
When you get the limited connectivity error, then right click on the wireless connection icon on the Task Bar and click REPAIR. This will get the wireless router to issue the wireless card an IP address.
Then you will have proper Internet connection.

I had usualy solved mysterious problems with other intel PRO wireless cards not authenticating, loosing signal, etc, by simply upgrading to the latest intel drivers.
Also using the Intel connection manager instead of the windows or Dell/other notebook manfucaturer's product is far more reliable.
Hope this helps.

My computer says its connect to my wireless network yet I can't access the internet!

Try resetting your router first off. Then repair your connection by right-clicking on the connection. You may have a sketchy router or one that could benefit from a firmware upgrade. I would get into the router's homepage and check the settings for your connection, then make sure your getting IP addresses and DNS addresses from your ISP.

Vista Wireless Problem: Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG

Hi Pete,

You sound like you know what you're doing, so forgive me if these suggestions seem foolish or patronising..
Does your laptop have a wireless button?
8f45b35.jpg

When you go to Internet Options and click the Connections tab, have you checked 'Never Dial a Connection'? This is essential..
I have exactly the same ethernet card and network adaptor, but haven't had any problems, and we have 2 laptops and 2 pc's here all detecting our router okay so..
It's definitely not MAC filtering on the router, as you would still see the network in your list..
I can only suggest uninstalling the Intel Pro Wireless driver and downloading a fresh one from here.
That'll reset default settings at least..
Hope this helps
Let me know how you get on.. If I face this problem I want to know how to fix it too!

Compatibility between linksys WRT54G Router and Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Driver

from what you say, it sounds as if you have your wired and wireless card connected at the same time. This will confuse the router as it is trying to give two different ip addresses to the one pc, which it cannot do. If you are using the wireless adapter, make sure you dissable the wired adapter as the router will continually look for the wired ip address while allocating your wireless adapter causing instability. Next ensure you have a good clear signal from router to notebook as this can obviously cause problems. Lastly ensure that the wireless cards TCP/IP properties are set to obtain ip address automatically, especially if your router is DHCP enabled to allocate ip addresses automatically.

DI-524 One wireless connection makes others not ok

This is unusual, as it seems the router is allocating two pc's the same IP address. Go into your routers settings (internet browser and type the router address, eg 192.168.1.1)' and look at Client DHCP list and look at the IP addresses that each pc has been given and see if two are the same, they should be one digit difference, that being the last. Also go into the properties of both your pc's wireless cards and ensure that they are set to obtain an ip address automatically.
