Question about HP Photosmart C6180 All-In-One InkJet Printer
It started going on the fritz when it was telling me my ink was expired, although the ink levels were ok. I would just bypass that msg. Then one day I turned it on & it started turning itself on & off like it was trying to reboot. Replaced the ink cartridges, it did it a few more times then printed a few times. Never quite back to original performance, then started the off & on again & has not worked since.

HP support decided it could not be repaired on line, agreed to replace it but found it was a few days out of waranty...so it is dead in the water. Probably not cost effective to repair it.

first thing is never mess with the contacts on the ink cartridge carrier. Now that you have touched the contacts they get a film on them and don't work right after that. I had the same thing had to replace the cartridge carrier more than once. Find out how much a new one will be, then if the price more than want you think the printer is worth, you might be cheaper to buy a new printer, but don't indulge in a big expensive one because some of the cheaper ones do just as good as an expensive one and costs less to operate with the same quality. compare the price of ink also if you decide to have to get a new printer.

clean the rubber rollers of the printer and try to print. if it is still having the same problem. reset the printer by unplugging the power cord of the printer while its turn on. then plug the power cord back in. once the printer is on press and hold the power/on button and the size button. when the on button is flashing then release the buttons and try to print again
