SOURCE: i have no system recovery disc but i want to factory setting

Hi,

Providing the laptop was built after 2005 then there should be a recovery partition on the laptop.

Turn the laptop on and repeatedly press the F10 key, this should get you into the recovery partition and allow you to factory restore the laptop.

Regards.

SOURCE: How to restore my laptop

Hi

You could try hitting the f10 key at the top of your keyboard as soon as you start the computer that should take you into factory restore to start with it looks likes its loading windows but in about a min it takes you into the option to take back to factory settings

If f10 dont work try alt\f10 or the blue fn\f10

if none of them work hit the delete key on startup and go into bios to make sure that f10 is not disabled because sometimes it is by default disabled

But be very carefull not to alter anything else in the bios or you could and probably have big problems just enable f10 0r f12 if they are disabled then hit save click yes

windows will then restart and try the f10 key again

good luck

SOURCE: How can i restore my

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

First thing is first. You will lose all data on the computer, so please back up your files and pics. They will not be able to be recovered after this process is done.

Turn off your computer by holding down power button for 10 seconds.
Press and hold zero key and press your power button one time.
(do not let go of zero key)
If done correctly, you will hear a series of beeping. When you hear this, release the zero key.
You will be asked with a warning screen if you wish to continue. Select yes.
Select recovery for factory default and hit next.
Then select recover out of state box.
Then, select next.
You will continue on, click next and this should start recovery!

If you meant something else, please send me a comment and i will look into it for you!

Factory restore

1. Turn on or reboot your system. When the Fujitsu logo appears, press the [F12] key.

2. From the Boot Menu, that appears, check whether the <Recovery and Utility> option is present.
If it is not present, it means that the utility must be used from the disc.
Proceed to "Running Recovery and Utility from the Bootable Disc" , if <Recovery and Utility> is unavailable.

Fujitsu LIFEBOOK A6230 how to factory restore without the cd?

Usually there is a second partition on newer laptops that you can recover with. Look for a startup options when booting or a recovery options key, usually something like F5 or F10, then there will be options to choose from. What operating system are you using? You could possibly use a system restore state from the laptop first being setup.

Factory restore

If your particular eMachines model didn't come with recovery media or you just misplaced the disc, you don't want to be caught without a means to restore the operating system.

It's all too easy to accidentally download a virus or experience any number of problems that make your computer unstable.

However, there is an option for restoring your computer without the original recovery disc by using the pre-installed recovery software.

Use an external memory device such as a DVD, flash drive or external hard drive to back up the data you need to save from your eMachines computer.

Any data that isn't saved to an external source will be erased when the computer is restored to factory settings.

Remove any discs that are in the optical drive and unplug the computer's peripheral devices, such as an Ethernet cable or scanner.

Do not disconnect the keyboard, mouse or monitor.

Click the Windows "Start" menu and choose "All Programs."

Navigate to "eMachines" and choose "eMachines Recovery Management." Click the "Restore" tab.

Click "Password Settings" if you have not already set a recovery password. Type a new password in the text box and click "OK." Click "Restore System to Factory Default."

Type the recovery password and click "OK." Click "Next" to wipe the eMachines computer's hard drive and begin the recovery process.

Select "Finish" and wait for the eMachines computer to restart.

Use the series of installation prompts that appear on the screen to create a new user account for your operating system, set the system date and time, and set up your internet settings.

hope this helps

I have a fujitsu lifebook A series, intel core 2 duo. It was infect with malware. I had a tech re-install the operating system or what ever he did for $40 USD. With in a week there was a critical error...

Your computer could either have:
* bad RAM -- causing "random" errors
* bad spots on the disk-drive -- information cannot be written, or, after successful writing, cannot be read from the disk.

Download a free RAM-testing program, e.g., 'MEMTEST86+' -- it can boot from your CD-drive, and run exhaustive tests of the RAM.

Or, replace the disk-drive, to see if that bypasses the problem.

Fujitsu lifebook t2020 restoration disc

When you plug your machine in,,and turn it on,,do you get any info on the screen at all?
And by the way,,,technicly you dont need a restoration disc,,you can use a windows xp install disc as long as you have the serial number,,and load it yourself.
The recovery disc is a little more hassle free because it also restores the drivers as well.
But if you are willing to spend a bit more time,,just do it the way everyone else does it,,,install windows from cd
