DON'T TRY TO TURN IT ON!!!!! Take the back off the sim card out the battery out and leave it all somewhere safe to dry out. by all means give it a good old shake to get rid of excess water but don't try to turn ot back on for at least 24/48 hrs longer if you have the patience, to give it plenty of time to dry out. If you do try to turn it back on before this you may short circuit the phone and make it unusable.

i hope this helps

My Avaya/lucent 8410D phone got knocked off the wall and fell apart. I got it all back together except the hangup plunger wire/spring. Does anyone know the proper orientation of the wire to the plunger?

Hi,talking from experience,i will suggest you contact phone engineer in your area to carry out a check on the major components of your phone such as the earpiece, mouthpiece,LCD etc which might have been damaged(70%probability) as a result of the great shock experienced when it fell apart,
It won't cost me anything to give you the proper orientation of the hangup plunger wire, but you not knowing the orientation of this wire, which if i describe to you,you may end up doing it wrongly which poses a great risk or electric shock according to avaya, how are you sure some basic components have been installed properly by you.
So please take caution, contact a phone engineer in your area to assist you

Thanks and take care

Fell in sink...no longer works

First of all it is possible to buy another phone if you go to uniden.com.

As much as the one that fell in the sink, remove the battery cover and battery, dry inside the phone and battery. Then place all parts in a warm room (NOT on a radiator) and leave for 24 hrs. Then reconnect and see if it works. My fingers are crossed for you.!
