Well Weblord, the ink cartridge is full, in fact it is new, with yellow tape completely removed and the plastic on the bottom removed as well.

Have you considered it might be empty and time for a replacement?

what could be happening is the contacts between the cartridge and the
holder could be clogged with ink, causing the signal to the cartridge
    to be lost.

what I suggest you do is, get a q-tip with either some rubbing alcohol
or distilled water. Remove the print cartridge, power off the printer,
and rub the gold contacts on both the cartridge and the contacts on the
inside of the carraige cartridge holder.

No cyan on photo

Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent inkdrying out in the print head nozzles.
If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive.
It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer thanreplace the print head.

Did you replace the tri-colour ink-cartridge, or did you replace the print-head mechanism?

Are you sure that the CYAN part of the ink-cartridge is not empty?

Will not print cyan

The cyan print head may be blocked. Try several deep cleaning of the print head to see if it can clear the blocked cyan print nozzles. Also check the cyan cartridge, make sure it is not empty.
If none of this works then the print head needs to be replaced. NOTE the print head is not a cheap item, you may consider putting the money towards a new and better printer.

Hello my 7590 printer will not print in cyan

The chances are you have a defective cyan ink cartridge. If you are using an aftermarket/reloaded cartridge and the cartridge chip is defective. First try a new cartridge. The best bet is a new OEM cartridge, run the deep cleaning utility 3 times. The nozzle may be clogged and this will clean the nozzle.
Aftermarket/reloaded cartridges ink do not always meet the specifications for the printers that use the finer inks.
Let me know if this works for you. Thanks.

Wrong colour

Have you done the nozzle check print? It would show if any colors are missing. While ready with the green light on, press and hold the resume button until the green light flashes twice and release, it will print the nozzle check. You also can't use the photo magenta or photo cyan in this machine, you need the regular cartridges.

1 Answer

IP4300 only recognizes magenta OR cyan

1. Get compressed air
2. Run Printhead under HOT water, do not worry about contacts getting slightly wet.

3. Blow compressed air with straw attachment into screens where the cartridge nozzle sits on printhead. then let it sit and dry.

4. reinstall print test page

5. if this fails open paint/photoshop and print a page of the color that is not printing correctly. rinse and repeat until colors flow freely.

I have several ip4300s and I have yet to give up the ghost on a printer with a clog ujsing this method.
