PDA is totally black; will not charge

I have the PDA seated properly and it still will not charge. It was fine and fully charged yesterday. Today I went to use it and it seems totally dead. Have had it plugged in for several hours and nothing. What can I do; I do not have a place to hardset it like the brand website suggests. Please help

Please see the following link to locate the reset hole for your PDA. Try a soft reset and let us know if that helped with anything.

Zire72's on the fritz!

Plug the ac wall adapter to charge the PDA and leave it there.

When the PDA exhausted the battery charge, it needs minimum 30 minutes to charge to the minimum level to have the PDA powering on.

Once it powers on, leave it charging the battery until is fully charged (3-4 hours).

Best regards,

The Screen is back and it won't charge

Hello, it isn't that simple as a broken charger. Try the following thing. Connect battery to the PDA, check that the battery LID is connected FIRMLY to the body (there is a contact there that woun't allow the PDA to start if the lid isn't connected properly, you may want to check it too, look carefully for a small black thing and check that it can be pressed). Then connect the pda for half hour to the charger, even if no light or amber led is flashing. Then make a master reset as showed here and connect the PDA to a usb sync cable with your computer. Press simultaneous the soft reset and the power button, then press only the soft reset button. The PDA should start. If not, there is a problem with a DC converter component on the mainboard or the connector I was talking about before. Even if the charger is broken, your PDA should power on from USB cable. Good luck, feel free to ask further questions and always remember to rate replies received from this site :)

PDA is totally black; not charging

The easiest solutions are easily overlooked. 1. Check your charger; a cheap multimeter will do for the voltage check. If the voltage (dc) written on the back of the charger is what you get at the plug, go to (2),if not, change your charger, problem solved. 2.You either have a messed up screen or battery. 3. Check the voltage at your battery terminals after charging the battery for like 1hr. If you do not get a resonable read; 2-5v ,just trash the battery and head for the nearest shop to get a fresh one.In case your battery reads okay, your screen or worse, one of the components on the board of the set has gone kaput.

4150 battery charging

When trying to charge the battery, do you get any Amber LED indicator on your iPAQ? It should be flashing when charging and solid when fully charged.
