Question about Kitchen Ranges
After a botched service my appliance wont work due to the cog on the black control knob being damaged. Too much time has passed since service for company to accept responsibility. I have been told that the knob is a non-serviceable part. I will need to spend £150 to replace complete eurosit 360 and then the cost of engineer to replace part. This seems excessive as i have seen the exact part i need on other appliances in kitchen and it would seem a much less expensive part to have engineer replace.Does anyone know where replacement can be obtained or tell me why it is unavailable.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

sure you can relace yourself, the part number, if you dont already have from previous repairs can be obtained fromthe sears website, or by calling manufacture direct. as far as a schematic there should be one located behind the range.

We have a gas kitchenaid KGST307HBL9 and the touch pad is blank, but we discovered that you can still touch the buttons and it will work. (example touch bake; temperature; start). It will beep when the target temperature is reached.
Just so we don't forget and leave the oven on, we turn the oven light on as our signal. A little work, but not wanting to "fork" out the money at this time to repair.
Also, if you are handy RepairClinic.com has many items and can also answer question. We've used them for several of our appliance repairs.

SOURCE: Gas broiler won't light
Turn off the gas to the range. Place a amp meter on the wire between the ignitor and the broil gas valve. Turn the control to broil. If the amp draw is between 2.5 and 3.0 the gas valve is the problem. This is for round ignitors. If the ignitor is flat, the amp draw should be 2.8 to 3.7.
The control board is the least likely problem.

Testimonial: "Thanks much for the suggestion. I will try it tomorrow and hopefully we can broil again. Good job!"
