Question about Fiesta Advantis 3000 Grill

Open Question

No evidence of gas(and yes, i know what i'm doing)

I just got this thing last year and i went to use it today, had a big ol' rack of ribs and steak to go on, and i couldn't get the gas to come up. I went down to get the tank filled , it still felt kinda heavy, and i think i got ripped off cause it was about the same weight when i took it back, anyway i still couldn't get the gas out, i checked to see if the jets came loose, i checked the knobs, they both seemed ok. ichecked the connections cause i had smelled it once in the twenty times i tried to light it, but still no luck. Please tell me any more steps i can take because i'm gonna go back to a charcoal grill pretty soon thanks

What tempature and time to smoke ribeye steaks 1 inch

Hi kdmadden1...

Prepare the smoker for barbecuing by bringing the temperature up to 200°F to 220°F
(95°C to 105°C).
Put the steaks in the smoker and cook for about 2 hour for Medium Well to Well Done.
Check your steak at 1.5 hours to see how it is doing...maybe almost rare to medium rare...
During the last 15 minutes of cooking before the meat is done, you will brush the meat with some of marinade, bbq sauce, etc if you want.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up.

Will not get hotter than 250F

Temperatures on the Big Green Egg are controlled by opening or partially closing, the dampers on the bottom side of the grill and the top of the grill lid. The more open, the more air gets to the coals and heats the up. Partially closing the dampers lowers the temp.

Keep in mind, the grill thermometer may be faulty. Try setting an oven thermometer (like the kind used in a regular kitchen oven, that sits on the oven rack) on top if the grill grates, when you're preheating the grill with the lid closed.

Hope this helped you to troubleshoot and solve the problem. Happy Grilling!

I dont know how to use the smoker. it says not to use lighter fluid and i have a rack of ribs i want to smoke for the day. its a brinkman

Whether you're using charcoal or wood junks, the method for lighting the material is still the same ... Use a Charcoal Chimney Starter. No lighter fluid is needed. Just some old balled up newspaper.
If you're close to a Home Depot, Lowe's or Ace Hardware, all 3 carry them for under $20.00. It's the only way to light charcoal or wood chunks! No left over Charcoal Lighter taste. :-)

Here's a pros tip ... Put a little cooking oil on the newspaper before lighting it. It helps the paper get hotter and last longer.

Hope this helps you to get started on those rib! Please don't forget to rate my response to you. Thanks!

The best way to smoke meat using the brinkmann smoke box with brinkmann gas & charcoal grill

It depends on the type of meat you want to smoke.
Some take longer than others. Example: Brisket verses a rack of Ribs.
There are many good books that get you started.
Hickory is a good wood to start with.

Cooking Time

Google "Smokering" and you will find a lot of forums dedicated to smoking food. It is an art in itself but many of these forums are helpful in learning.

The answer to your question is basically put as many racks of ribs that fit without touching and as long as the temperature is maintained they will all cook at the same time. I typically smoke my ribs at 225 for 4-5 hours.

Natural gas grill blows out in wind

Hm. Didn't like the idea of putting duct tape on my brandy new weber but thats what I did to keep the burner lit today in the wind. The 4" open area on the back, covered it with three strips of duct tape. Also stuffed aluminum foil in the right side to somewhat plug that crack. Trying to cook the ribs slowly (low flame on the second burner only which usually gives me about 225 degrees) and its windy as heck today. I surely don't plan to leave the duct tape there. Will probably invent a metal thing that slides up and down to cover that gap.

Yes, I have a Uniflame grill. The gas is turned on but the flame is very small coming out of the burners, takes 3 hours to cook a steak at this rate. Put new gas tank to see if tank had problem...Still...

check the regulator first, easy to do, not very expensive. If things do not improve, you can remove the burners and check for blockages in the valve orifices.

Last summer closed up grill had no not working

unhook the tank and hook it up again being sure that the regulator is right side u p.

these new grills have a safety valve that often partially closes and causes problems.

Gas grill not hot enough

Always turn your tank on first. Then the burners.

Try this, turn the burners on for a minute and then off with the regulator and hose off the tank, then hook it back up and very slowly open the tank. Then fire off the burners.

If this doesn't work, try replacing the hose/regulator.

Gas grill overheated

I might have an Idea to what happened. All grills have a drip pan, most all new grills have a drain for grease that falls from our savory meats. Well, if, (not saying that you haven't) but if, you have not cleaned the drip pan, there is still grease left over that gets absorbed by food droppings. IF this is the case, you had a ticking time bomb of a grease fire. The grill did not overheat, the grease caught fire. You said your grill was a year old; so the regulator did not go full blast and when they do go bad they do not let gas pass through.

Not trying to preach to no one because I have done it myself, never leave your gas grill on and unattended. I hate to say it but even the owners manual says it.

I hope I did not come off the wrong way and I hope this might give you an idea/thought of what happened.
