SOURCE: Pioneer PDP-503PU

Very possible, but yet, this might be the manufacturer defect power supply which they will fix it for you free;but before we jump to this conclusion, you need to test it first:
-Unplug the power cords.
-Unplug the media video cable from the box to the tv.
-Check all the pins on the video cable are in place as well as the connectors both behind the TV and the media box.
-Reconnect the media box and TV with the video cable(DVI+VGA in one) and have at least a video component hook up to it(ex. dvd player/VCR or comcast box) be sure this video player is turn on and running,at the same time,be sure it is under the right video input.
If you have tried the above steps but still doesn't work, call 1-800-pioneer Tuesday-Thursday at7amPST and address your issue to them.
Let me know if you have any additional questions!

SOURCE: pioneer media receiver won t turn on

If the light on the media reciever doesn't come on then the power supply in that needs to be replaced by a service tech. If you disconnect the 2 cables from the media reciever and the panel and then try to turn on the panel it should light with red and green squares for a few seconds but will turn off as it needs the media reciever to be connected.

Monitor standby won't stay on /pioneer 424mv

What is the source of the TV signal? I know many monitors have a "power-saving mode" that returns the unit to standby if there is no signal coming in.

Check that the signal cables are working (try swapping cables). Make sure the source is on before turning on the TV. Press the Input button to select a different source. Make sure that the source signal is not refreshing (or synching) at a rate that is incompatible with the TV. (If your source is a PC that was previously connected to a CRT monitor, the refresh rate should be reset to 60 Hz before connecting the computer the the Pioneer 424MV.)

I hope this helps.

Trying to figure out the voltage for power supply on a pdp-503cmx and cant figure it out i think it is supposed to be at 250v but i only get 122v not sure i need help!!

It sounds like you have the notorious Pioneer power supply issue. Pioneer had been replacing these free of charge. You can contact Pioneer and attempt to schedule an in home swap free of charge. While the 503CMX was on the recall list, i think the warranty extension has expired on all affected models but it won't hurt to call Pioneer and ask if they'll pay for the repair........

Failure to monitor video

If you are using component of vga cable, the problem may be in the cabling.

VGA:
1. cable loose.
2. Pins bent in connector
3. bad cable.

Component:
Remember that the chroma and luminence signals are separate. This means that if the cables are swapped, loose, or just plain not plugged in, there will be color problems like the one decribed.

Composite:
If you are having this problem with a composite input, then the problem is circuitry and will have to te repaired. If you haven't tested the composite [RCA] input, now is a good time. If the composite input looks normal, then you know the problem is cables on the other input.

My Pioneer Plasma Display Model PDP-424mV must be set on a timer as it will turn off approximately 90 seconds after being turned on . I cannot find the "timer" menu selection. How do I fix this?

try looking on your remote, look for a sleep button and proceed to deactivate the sleep timer using the arrow buttons. if this is not the case, then perhaps your internal cpu is allowing the TV to start, then detecting a problem and forcing the tv to turn off again, though i don't see how it would be possible in this case. there are many others better suited to answer that question other than me, but the sleep button is a good start =)

PIONEER PDP-424MV Plasma TV

Hello,

I have the same TV, well, nearly, PDP434.

The only part I ever sell for these is the main PSU (power supply).

The TV "checks" it self using a self diagnostic system. As soon as it discovers a problem, it shuts down and blinks an error code on the front LED.

It always seems to be the PSU.

I hope this helps at least a bit.

Pioneer PDP42mve1 No Power

The resistor is a low ohm, probably in the smps, and the fact that it heated up was probably due to a short in the regulator. This is one you'll need to have serviced because of all the equipment you'll need to trace and diagnose the problem..
