I have sony h55 model camera. i insert the battery in inside of camera. but not working. Inside lame is lit. what's Problem?

On day I transfer the data to PC on midnight. That time mosquito bat touch in the data card wire edges. So, not working camera. Inside the battery in one lamp is lit. I saw the manual. Yes, if during initialization or other major function the power is interrupted, it can wipe out the internal logic for the camera. If that has happened, and the camera won't even power up, there is no known repair that can be performed other than through a licensed repair facility.
However, if your camera does power up and you damaged the flash card only, then it may be able to be low-level formatted, then re-formatted by your H55.

Use sony dsch55 as webcam

If you wanted to use the Sony DSC H55 as a webcam, I'm afraid it won't work.
Most camera's can't transfer live view images to a computer. To do so, with some DSLRs, you need to buy special software and the camera has to be build for that.

Software cd-rom

You can download Sony software for the DSC-H55 here.
You don't need any software to use your camera. The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

Dust inside lens of Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H55 digital camera

That is more than likely to be dish on the sensor of the camera (or CCD) you can get do it yourself kits but this is tricky as the sensor is inside the camera. Your best bet is to take it to a camera shop who should clean it for about 30 or 40 pounds, and guarantee it for a certain period too. Or you could send it off if there are no local photography shops, search for "CCD cleaning" online. Hope this helps!

I bought new batteries from local store (one from Walmart and one from Meijer) but both would not work in my Cybershot DSC-H55. On powering up, I get the message "For use with compatible battery...

the camera will only work with li-ion rechargeable batteries
any alkaline battery such as energizer will not work the camera unless you have the very expensive li ion batteries
also as with all batteries that can be recharged , you may have to charge for 4 hours before use

How do I download my pictures from my Sony camera to the computer?

Here is one instructional video tutorial from Sony Support; also could try this procedure:
- Take off your memory stick from your camera and insert it into your memory stick adapter. Open your camera's battery case and gently push the memory stick until you hear a faint "click," then remove it from the camera. Place the memory stick inside the adapter that comes with your camera.
- Insert the adapter into your computer's memory card reader, if you have one. The adapter, which is larger than the memory stick itself, is approximately the same size as an ordinary SD memory card.
- Connect your Sony digital camera to your computer using its USB cable if you can't find or don't have a memory stick adapter. Insert the small end of the USB cable into the camera. Insert the wider, flatter end into one of your computer's USB ports.
- Click "Open Device to View Files" to open your memory stick or camera. Search for the DCIM folder and click on it. Navigate through any photo subdirectories you've created and highlight photos you want to transfer to your computer. Right-click anywhere in a given folder, then click "Copy." Go to the location where you want to store your images, then right-click within that folder. Click "Paste" to transfer your images.

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this answer).
