Question about Gateway FPD1975W 19" LCD Monitor
Monitor cycles between no signal, vga, and rgb message/icon on screen between going black. Putting the tour button on stopped it, for the duration. then i was unable to use the power button to power off. Help, please!
First, check to make sure the input selection switch isn't stuck, after unplugging the monitor power cable. It sometimes can get stuck, or just become damaged.
If this isn't it, maybe it's time for a new monitor.

Not really, first check your connections, normally when you loose red a pin broke off the VGA connector.
If the panel died then its probably not worth while. The red panel is however, under the most stress.
