Question about SanDisk Sansa View 8GB MP3 Player - Black

Sandisk Sansa View

My Screen went blank and will not show anything. However it still plays.
Any ideas what I can do?

    i dropped my mp3 player and the screen just went white with a black line going through it. it still plays the music but i cant see to what im listening to.

I would recommend you to try to reset the device..follow the steps bellow to reset it..
Press to power on/off, enter menu, or hold 15
seconds to reset your Sansa.
Or-To reset the sansa = Hold down power button for20 seconds.
If that doesnt work, I would recommend you to contact sandisk to see if they can set up an RMA for you...

Sansa view white screen


Yep All you can maybe try is this:
Try reflashing the firmware for your device you can find the latest firmware and flashing utilities from the SanDisk website. Make sure that you back your music up first because when you do this you are setting it back to factory settings.

I think my sansa e260 just died


Is it unlocked? I thought my sansa died a few times, bit it turned out that it was just locked.

Blank screen


Typically this is an indication that your battery is dead. If the music is still playing but the screen is blank I would say a hardware failure and replacement would be the best option.

Sansa View has a "ink blot" graphic and a white background when I turn it on.


if its an inkblot you broke your screen..... the same thing happened to mine and i'm still trying to find a place to repair the screen.... if i find anything i'll tell you

Sandisk "fuze" mp3, plays but the screen is blank.... yes would be covered by warranty


is it still covered by warranty? do you see anything on the screen for example if you place it under a lamp, do you see anything on the screen? that would mean the backlight is faulty.

you may have a faulty backlight or loose connector. If you got warranty that will cover the fix.

select your sansa fuse from the list, click find driver
on the new page select sansa firmware updater click continue
click skip registeration

download the firmware updater

install the updater

plug in the device when asked and follow on screen instructions.

Nothing happens when I click on Menu button


SanDisk Sansa View - Reset - Use the slide switch on the side and hold it tward the Mic hole for 10 sec. Start the computer program before you plug in the View??

u have to wait till the screen will be black. I had the same problem with my sansa. it can lasts 1 or 2 days. after screen is black and then do following: 2. change lock switch to orange position 3. Press and hold rec button (at left side) 4. while pressing the rec button, turn the player on 5. it will appear the boot menu. connect the USB cable and try to continue the firmware 6. if it doesn't work, do a firmware downgrade. download this file: http://www.sandisk.com/Assets/File/Downloads/firmware/e200fw01.00.12.exe 7. execute the application while in boot mode good luck darek
