You will need to configure your PS3 to join your wireless network. configure the network name and passphase/password and join.

My ps3 won't connect to my TP-Link TD-W8901G. no matter what I do, the wireless won't work.


Try connecting the PS3 to the router via ethernet cable, their may be some buttons with numbers on the back of your router, one the PS3 is connected press one of these.

the PS3 should know the paired with the router and the wireless should work.

Ps3 will not get online now


I had that problem with my D-Link router. What I did was re-installed the router, then my PS3 would connect and so would my PSP.

Getting PS3 NAT Type 2 with Netopia Router ???


I have nat type 1 with this router but no upnp. access your router. click on advanced setup, click on configure, click on connection, choose ppp over ethernet llc/snap scroll down and click on save and restart connection. call your internet provider and get the username and password for your router. you will need it later. on your ps3, go to network settings, select internet connection settings. the ps3 will ask if you want to continue, select yes.select custom, wired connection, auto detect, PPPoE, enter the username and password you got from your isp, select automatic, automatic, do not use, enable, then press the x button to save, press the x button again to test connection

I might advised you to call the PS3 manufacturer to gather the ports of the PS3 then you'll needing the help of netgear provider to open the ports of the PS3 to the router, so that the PS3 will allow to the firewall of your router.

Turning on PS3 causes home wireless network to stop working


I have the same problem. My router is located about 1.5 feets from the PS3 and when I turn on the console my wireless network barely works. Something I did was change the frequency of the wireless. It was working in channel 9 and now it's on channel 3 with no problem.
