Hi,

Pls chk if the speaker plug is connected to the green jack at the back of the computer. If still a no go, post back the brand and model of the computer as well as the speaker set.

Hope that this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.

    Hi again,

For a co-expert you should know what an "Inappropriate" rating means. Perhaps you may want to complete the requested information and reconsider.

Oh, incidentally, I did not report this as an Abuse.

    Cheers.

No audio for making videos or when i use the sound recorder. appears not to be enabled but computer audio works ( brand new puter Dell insperation 1 2020 windows 8 )

press the Windows key and type Control Panel then click below the search bar on settings. Control panel should show up on the left, just click on it. Go to Sounds settings and make sure your microphone levels are up. Also, if there are any choices for recording devices, try them all. Most of the time it is because you don't have your settings correct in the control panel. If that doesn't work, make sure windows update has the latest drivers. And last of all, try a different microphone.

Monitor turned dark. Is there anything I can do to fix it?(Set Brightness All the way up, still to dark)

Sounds like you may have lost your signal. The only troubleshooting solution at this point would be to find a temporary monitor replacement and see if you get any response out of it. Know anyone who may let you borrow their monitor? If there is no response from a replacement you may have to put the 'puter in the shop.

I need sound on my computer....

Sorry to hear about your sound problems.
1. We can't diagnose your problems with the information you have left us.
If your speakers are with a amplifier, you may have a Bad Amp.
If you do not, you may have a Bad connection to the rear of your PC.

If you have a amplifier hocked up to your system, most of the time, if you unplug the sound, at the rear of the unit, you can hear a static sound, if you can hear this, your amp is working and you may have to reload the drivers for the sound system on your pc.

Before going thru all this trouble, you should check all connections first before proceeding any further.
Hope this information has help you somewhat. !!

Sounds like your power supply unit is dead. Do you get any power or hard drive lights on the unit? If not, I'm afraid it's a repair shop problem.

Got a sound card fitted and now the front color(green and pink)are Not working

When you installed the new sound card it disables the front connections due to them being set to run off the original sound card. What kind of computer are you refering to here? Also what kind of sound card was originaly in it? And what kind of sound card did you install. This information will greatly help with being able to get your front connections up and running again.
