SOURCE: Ice maker out, I need a wiring diagram. GE model

I hope you are an electronics major. The ice maker uses the most complicated and heinous electrical theory available. What usuall goes wrong are those hairline contact arms they use. They have assembly tricks only surpassed by the inscrutible oriental puzzle boxes.
For about $150 you can get another.

Ice maker is making ice, but neither the ice or

I have seen a lot of these this week. There are several reasons that could cause this problem. The light switch for the freezer door acts as a lockout for those controls when door is open, The pin plug at left bottom hinge has corrosion or a loose wire connection. We can begin by checking those parts and measuring the low voltage going to the dispenser board at the hinge and motherboard. Click Here=> GE ARTICA PROFILE TECHNICAL INFORMATION Save page to favorites and on the wiring diagram click on it and it will open into a new tab where you can save the Service Manual. Find a OHM meter and voltage meter and let me know when ready. J4 plug on top left is what sends power to the dispenser and the temperature controls. It is also on top left of the wiring diagram. Please rate my solution after I have helped you resolve the problem and communicate with me. I am offering my help to you free. Ice maker is not working

Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as necessary.

GE ICE MAKER, VERY LITTLE ICE,

I had this problem with my GE ice maker not working and it was an unbelievably easy fix. If you have the same ice maker then you will see a green light by the power switch. Below the ice maker is a "paddle" ice sensor. The paddle is attached to the ice maker and there is a coil type tension spring. If your paddle is loose, make sure the end of the spring (the pointy wire end) is inserted into a small hole. You probably can't see the hole but move the wire end until it pops into the small hole. You should now have tension on the paddle. At this point I had heard that the freezer light bulb may be drawing too much current for the ice makers motherboard. I removed the bulb and, UNBELIEVABLY, the ice maker began making ice! Try removing or replacing the LIGHT BULB first!
