Dishwasher fills tub continuously until float turns it off whether in cyle, during drying or after cyle complete. That means during drying when the dishwasher is trying to dry the dishes the tub fills up preventing drying. This is a new dishwasher that I've never used. I allways noticed the tub was full of water, but thought that was just to keep the seals moist so they don't rot. I've been in my house 5 years and only hand washed my dishes because it was more convienient. Now that there are more people in my life I want to use it. Is there something wrong with the curcuit board? It's like the fill switch works separately or own its on accord, is this right?

Reseting the harness did not work. Replaced the CPU for $80.00; works flawlessly now.
Ayacht, the fill is a timed fill controlled by the control board (part number 99003158). The float is a safety device designed to cut power to the valve in the event of a failure. The fact that the float is doing it's job and stopping the fill tends to lead me to believe that it is not the valve but the board giving you the problem. You can drop the bottom panel and check voltage at the valve to be sure. Because it's been sitting for so long you might want to reseat the harnesses on the control board to see if that corrects the problem. Catriver..post back.
