Question about RCA 32V430T 32" TV
For no apparent reason, the tv goes from 'color' to black and white. It doesn't usually change back. If you turn the TV off for a while and turn it back on (usually has to be off for a period of time) the color is back. I do not think it has anything to do with "cooling" down. It might just as easily come right back on and since this isn't a "tube" TV. We notice no other changes but this color thing is very inconvenient. The TV hasn't been moved or dropped or anything, however before were given it by my dad he might have had it out in it's original box in freezing weather; maybe even a month or two. The Tv was transported 500 miles. We've had it a year or 2 and this just started though.
Looks like a Cold solder or a EEPROM problem. Get a technician to have a look.

This problem could be caused by 1- a bad or dryed out capacitor, 2- a bad video jungle IC, or 3- problem in the eeprom circuit. Its not a repair a consumer can do without the proper equipment and parts. Your going to have to take the set into a repair shop to be diagnoised. Good Luck
