Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W80 Digital Camera

Extremely blurred pictures

When taking pictures at night with only small Christmas lights for lighting the pictures turn out extremely blurred. It looks like someone is moving the camera in circles.

Try using a different setting on the camera for these pictures, use the scene selection and choose night scene.

How do i take action shots?

The DSC-HX300 has 16 shooting modes, Anti-motion Blur, Back Light
Beach,,Fireworks, Food, Handheld Twilight, High Sensitivity, Landscape, Night Portrait, Night Scene, Pet Portrait, Smooth Skin, Snow, Soft Focus, Sports.
>Use the Sports mode for action. Use the 'burst' option and you'll get several images and be able to select the best moment.
Wider angles (rather than extreme telephoto) allows for less blur if the camera is handheld (even teh improved Steady shot feature can only do just so much.) You may have better results optimizing for either ISO or shutter speed, but that will be lighting and speed-of-action dependant. You'll probably need to experiment a bit.

How do i take pictures of christmas lights so they are clear

The camera is having problems focusing. Try focusing on a bright object hold the shutter button half way down to lock the focus then frame your image and press the shutter to take the photo.
If this does not work then try manual focus.

Solution for blur camera nikon d5000 when take pickture at night time

It may be your exposure combination. The blur is because your shutter speed is too slow. You did not say what you are photographing at night and without that information, I can only speak in generalities. It all depends on the light source. If you are taking pictures of illuminated signs, auto exposure modes might work great, but if you are shooting incident light rather than pointing your camera at the light source, I would use a tripod and use manual exposure. Adjust your ISO to a high number. That will allow a faster shutter speed to stop motion.

My husband pulls tractors at night at tractor pulls, everytime I try to get a picture its too dark, the lighting around the pull isn't the greatest but it has some light

There are several solutions to taking pictures in the dark or low light. Night time photography can be difficult without a tripod. There are three ways you can get a brighter photo
1. Larger aperture - Make sure the aperture is set to the lowest f-stop for the largest aperture. f/2.8 or f/5.6 depending on your lenses capabilities. Choose the lowest number
2. Longer shutter speed - A longer shutter speed will allow more light to hit the canera's sensor and create a brighter picture. Unfortunately with a longer shutter speed, you will probably need a tripod because the photo will come out motion-blurred otherwise.
3. Higher ISO - A higher ISO will make the camera's sensor more sensitive to light and therefore creating a brighter picture without having to have a longer shutter speed. High ISO, however, can introduce unpleasant noise/grain to a photo.

If you want to take your picture while holding the camera in your hands, I recommend the largest aperture (small f/stop) and a high ISO.
If you have a tripod, use it! and use a longer shutter speed since the tripod will hold the camera steady for you.

Good luck!

Very blurry pictures on a Cannon Xti 400D

If u had took photo in very low light, pictures will appear blur. Or if you use tele zoom, u need to use tripod to stablize. In normal conditions, you can turn on image stablizer.

LCD screen is extremely blurred

It is probably not the LCD itself, but an element that is protecting the LCD is bent out of shape.

Technique on taking images of baseball cards

Greetings sandb27,

Your best route to avoid flash reflection on your cards is to find a lighting situation where you do not rely on flash. I would suggest a small handheld tripod to stabilize the camera and shooting without the flash. You might also try to use the Indoor Mode. Indoor Mode prevents camera shake blur and adjusts the white balance to preserve the subject's true color when working under tungsten or fluorescent lighting.

Thank You,

DSC-T7 Blurriness

Try this test: Mount the camera on a tripod or set it on a secure base and use the self timer to trip the shutter. Doing this will totally eliminate any possibility of camera shake causing blurriness. If the picture is still blurred then there might be a problem with the AF but if it isn't blurred then the problem is either camera shake OR subject movement (or both).
