Question about Leupold RX-II Rangefinder

Long range mode

I cannot turn off the long range mode on my rangefinder. I navigate around the Quick Set Rotary Menu unttil >150yds is blinking, then hit power and >150 yds remains activated and visible. No matter what combination of buttons I push when on the LRM in the menu, I cannot get it to go off and see a yardage number for my bow shooting distance.

Re: long range mode

To turn off: push the power button twice while 150 is blinking and once to turn it on.

I have a Bushnell Medalist Pinseeker golf laser rangefinder. I recently replaced the battery with a 9V Duracell Alkaline, and now the Pinseeker mode is not working (it will not sight different targets) and...

The "Pinseeker" mode is a automatic mode Sometimes it uses it, somtimes it doesn't. It is designed to recognize a vertical shaft. (Pin) Now IF you hold the power button can see if all of the LCD segments are burning. If the segments fade out later in the game.... (bad LCD) Make sure the Pinseeker mode it on...(flag symbol on the left) Hit the button on the side if you need to. IF it still doesn't lock on to pins, it needs an alignment.

Don't know what the ''Mode'' button is used for? Thanks

This mode hones in on the flag. Click it off when you are measuring distances to a bunker, tree, etc.

Nikon 440 pro staff range finder wont read distance

I just got mine to work. It was doing the same thing. I guess I re-set it. I figured there had to be some way to re-set it. So I pushed the mode button and the power button simultaneously for 30 second. Then it worked! Wooptidoo :)

Changing Modes

press the power button to turn the unit on then, while looking through the monocular, press and hold the mode button for 5 seconds. You will see the unit of measure indicator switch from meters to yards. Good Luck!

Range finder does not register distance 99.9% of the time

I had the same problem, rangefinder would work only sometimes and only at short distances. Called customer support and was ready to send it in. Tech guy told me to turn off "First Target" ( or "last target") and turn on"LOS" (line of sight). Range finder now works perfectly at all distances. Apparently the first target feature doesnt work properly.
