  • Anonymous Apr 15, 2009

My Blackberry Pearl won't let me save anything on my media card.. It's as if it's not even in there. Is there a setting I need to do to set-up my media card so my cell knows it's there?

Try opening your options menu and select "media card". Make sure media card support is turned on.

I had the same problem so I wedged a small piece of paper over the card to ensure the contacts were contacting.  It worked!

your card may not work with the blackberry. try formatting the card via it ebeing in the blackberry, and then put everything back on the card afterwards. it should work. if not again, your card might just not be compatible wit the phone

My blackberry pearl says: "A media card is not presently inserted in the device

Hello. If you know you have inserted a card but it is not showing up remove the card, wipe it with a tissue and reinsert it more firmly. If you do not have a media card but need one, they are available at any phone store, or staples, or electronics department at walmart. Regards, Joe.

When i put my media card in my blackberry it says its not there?

back up first all of your files.then format your media card using your Blackberry, not your PC.If it is still same problem after formatting, try to replace another media card and check if other media is working in your phone.lastly,if still not working its already a hardware problem, its a memory card IC,not working anymore, you must replace it.

format the mem card through your computer instead maybe, it works best if u have a usb reader that the sd card slot in then jus plug it in. if it dont automatically show up on pc go to 'my computer' in the menu and it should b found there prob as removable drive, once in it right click mouse and should b an option to format sd card, hope this helps.

Can't open data stored on media card

Connect the BlackBerry to your computer.
Open My Computer, and open Properties of the drive.
What does it show under File System?

The BlackBerry cannot read NTFS, so make sure that it is not an NTFS file system. if it is, move your files off the card, and format it as FAT, then put the files back on the card after the format.

Otherwise, without the BlackBerry connected to the computer, go to Options (or Setting > Options, depending on your Theme),
Then opem Media Card, or Memory (depending on your Theme and software version).

What does it say about the card? Does it say that it is connected, or that there is no card?

How to unlock my blackberry curve free!

take out your sim card and or media card and enter the password wrong. It usually has about 10 tries. After the final time, it clears any personal data on the phone for security reasons(thats why you take out your cards) Then when it is done reloading, you can change your password...make it something easy. Then go into your security options and disable the security lock. Then you can put your cards back in. Good luck.
