Yes the ICs and Pico fuses need to be replaced. You can get the convergence repair kit for your model from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the ICs and fuses plus the CD with repair instructions.
hi.. The problem is the Convergence circuit and the reason it does not power
up is that one or two of the 5a pico fuses have opened when the
Convergence IC failed. It is either going to be a pair of STK392-570's
or a single IC STK393-110. That is as long as this set is a Mitsubishi
made in the last 7 to 9 years.
I would estimate the cost to repair 280.00 plus service call fee if any, plus tax on parts.
Let the Tech check it out. If if it cost less than 400.00 to repair, it may well be worth taking the chance.
un solder ics replace both of them resolder make sure you do not solder any of the circuits together or it will short something out, also ck low ohm resistors in same circuit.I will try to help you the best that i can. Main key you must know how to Solder.
look on the center board where the ics are and check F9A04 and F9A05 pico fuses, if they are blown you will need to replace those two 5 Amp picos and the convergence Ics
This could be many things, most commonly you would have a power supply problem or a fluid leak, I would look closely at the front of the boards for liquid on them. Let me know what you find
