What's the best adhesive to use between kitchen countertop and backsplash? Using DAP Quickseal for Kitchens and Baths but it starts coming apart after 3days. Counter/backsplash are laminate.

The counter and backsplash are laminates. I let the DAP dry for the required 36 hours (actually 3 days) but after the area gets wet from using the sink it soon starts to come apart. It's DAP KwikSeal Kitchen & Bath Adhesive Caulk. Says it's waterproof and mildew resistant. , I did it twice with same result. What product should I try?

Repair or replace your corian countertop or use acrylic sheets to bring life back to kitchen Looking to update your kitchen and do some modeling? Chances are the old formica countertops are looking aged, worn, and stained. But thanks to new options in countertops, customers now have colorful options to choose from or supplement their favorite look by using acrylic sheets as a backsplash around the kitchen. These days acrylic sheets also come in every imaginable color, so finding something within a chosen color palette should not be difficult. Acrylic sheets are durable; they look nice, are non-porous, are extremely high-density and seem to copy the look of real marble countertops. Plus, acrylic sheets are cheaper than other countertop options.

Rough openning for a 30"

Hi,
You want to make that very close to 30" maybe 1/8 to 1/4" more max. If you make the opening too big you will be loosing stuff down the cracks....
When I did kitchens, my preferance was to let one or both of the countertops loose til the range was in place and then push the countertop snug and then screw it down...

Home Depot lists a depth dimension for a GE refrigerator. Is the handle included in the depth dimension?

no. depth is measured from the back of the box to the front of the box but does not include the handles. The depth of the cabinet is used to determine if the doors will open sufficiently to clear countertops and half walls or appliances. Also helps determine if enough space will be available to open doors in small kitchens such as "c" shape, "L" shape or narrow galley kitchens. for small kitchens, the best frig is a side by side. The doors are smaller and less swing space is needed. A 25 cubic foot side by side uses less swing space then a 15 cubic foot single door. If you are worried about depth, you can also get a counter depth frig which will stick out past your countertops by about 2 inches rather then 8-10 inches with a standard frig. standard depth is about 28-36 inches from the back wall when plugged in. Handles get in the way most often in width measurements because they prevent the doors from swinging past 90 degrees if located next to a wall.
