Question about Saws
Trigger not working, once i connect power to the saw it starts without me pressing the trigger. I took off the cover round the handle to reveal the slider and spring but now i can seem to work out how to reassemble it.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: replacement part not available
I had the same problem and the parts are available but they are expensive. There isa spring loaded double contact switch. Take it apart. You will have to drill the rivets out and reassemble with some sheet metal screws or machine screws and nuts. Careful when you open because the parts may fall out. You will want to know how it is built. Usually only one contact goes bad so hard wire the side without continuity(solder together & heat shrink or black tape). The rest is just good mechanical inclination. You will figure it out.

the commutator might be dirty, try and turning the brushes 180 degrees and you might have to clean the commutator with a stone for that purpose to seat the brushes.
