I have a Sharp flat panel model LC-20SH4U. The units power LED light is red. No effect (sound or picture) when remote or on/off switch is activated. The LED light slightly blinks.

Resetting the TV
If the buttons on the remote AND the buttons on the TV case do not work (channels do not change and you cannot open or navigate the menu), the TV has stopped responding. Reset the TV as follows:

NOTE:
Some TVs have a reset button. If available and accessible, try using the reset buttons before using the steps below. Using the reset buttons can save time.

clip_image001.jpg
1. Unplug the TV power cord from the power outlet.
2. Unplug any connected devices (DVD, Set-top boxes, etc...)
3. Press and hold the TV power button for five seconds.
4. Plug the TV power cord back into the power outlet and turn on the TV.
5. Open the on-screen menu to confirm that the TV is responding again.
6. Turn off the TV and reconnect the devices.
7. Turn on the TV.

Hope this may help;

Regards,

E50A10; color become not natural. The red look too strong. Seem like un-balance white balance (white color shown not clearly white but too much red)

Good day!!

I am suggesting you to hit the menu button on the tv itself or on the remote...
then the following will appear:

picture
sound
set up

when you see that please hit the picture then you will read the
AV mode please hit that by hitting the arrow next or up and down volume button so that you can pick what mode do you want also you can change/adjust the bright, contrast, sharp, color, tint...

hope it helps...thank you..

Blurry picture

In the store they use an HD source and connection. Is your cable box HD? It will have component or hdmi connections if it is.You have use either one to get HD everything else will be SD(standard def). And you have to be on an HD channel.Digital cable refers to how the signal is delivered doesn't mean its HD. SD channels on digital still look bad..

Incompatible Sharp vcr remote with sharp tv.

Hi,

The remote for VCH822U is RRMCG1237AJSA, which you already have. That remote only works for VCR's. Also, the model number 2525100 is not a valid Sharp model number. Double check the model number of your TV and I will be able to find you a remote for it.

As far as working both units with one remote....I can check but I will need a valid Sharp model number for you TV.

Did my 1991 Toshiba TV come with a remote?

I am sure it did, but without a model number, it will be impossible to tell you what remote goes with your TV set. A universal might work on the volume and channel up and down as well as with the on and off, but will not work the special functions like menu, or picture adjustments.

No picture or sound

When the red light is on, can't you turn it on by pressing channel up on the set, or power on the remote? If still under warranty or if you have no electronic repair experience you should take the set back to the shop or to a repair person. TV's are very hazardous to service. Even when plugged out, TV's can store very high voltages. Its possible that a capacitor has gone bad. You'll need to work on that, and then readjust the set. Not a major repair. When you open it up look for dry soldier joints and resoldier if necessary. good luck
