Question about Motorola Lands Phones
Hi everyone.I have a problem with my cordless phone.I see a big 'out of range' message on my screen.I tried all the methods I've read on this site but nothing seems to work. For example I tried to register again but after i introduced the PIN code and pressed the button from the base my screen displays 'Register Full' .I also changed the batteries, disconnected and reconnected the base but still no result.Hope you guys can help me.Thank you in advance.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

To solve the register problem.... Put each phone for 20 seconds or so in the main base. I had the same issue, and resolved it this way.

i faced a similar problem.try doing this
1) go to handset menu & somewhere u wil find registration
2)it wil ask for pin , try 5555 or 0000
3)it wil display waiting for reg or searching......
4) press the base station button for some 5 seconds until it beeps continuosly & stops....
5) as beep stops press 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 in handset ( no. of hanset handled by base)...try all possibilities ( sometimes takes automatically if u dont press any number)
6) thats it.......

SOURCE: registering handset
If all else fails, read the instructions.
"4. Place the handset in the base cradle. The charge/in use indicator turns on, verifying the battery is charging. The unit will take 20 seconds to register and verify its security code. READY shows in the handset’s display."

You can downlaod the manual from uniden in pdf form.
the -4 or -5 refers to how many handsets you set. The 1580 is the actual model number.
To register I think all you do is place them on the master pad once then on their own charger stations. On some models they come all done so you just plug them in charge them up and use them.
