If its an Intel Graphics card you can right click on the background/desktop and choose Graphic Properties and within there, there are rotate options.

Also, some monitors have options within the menus of the monitor of itself and you maybe able to rotate the monitor there.

Let me know what video adapter/card you are using and what monitor if this did not help.

My dell screen is sideways

On Windows 7, it says graphics options instead of monitor settings.

Typically, to fix this type of error, you would use ctrl+alt+up arrow key to flip the screen right side up.
(incidentally...
ctrl+alt+right arrow = flip to the right
ctrl+alt+left arrow = flip to the left
ctrl+alt+down arrow = flip upside down)

If that doesn't work, or if your keyboard shortcuts have been disabled, right click on the desktop background, click on Graphics Options, then Rotation, then Rotate to Normal.

Also, if you have Intel Graphics installed on you computer, the software might have reset the default rotation setting. To fix this, right click on the desktop, then click on Graphics Properties. This should bring up the Intel Graphics window. Choose Advanced Mode, and click OK. Find the rotation settings (right side, 2nd from bottom), and choose Rotate to Normal.

Rotate screen

There are many ways.

With Intel HD Graphics Control Panel:
Rotate to 0 Degree: <Ctrl><Alt>Up arrow
Rotate to 90 Degree: <Ctrl><Alt>Left arrow
Rotate to 180 Degree: <Ctrl><Alt>Down arrow
Rotate to 270 Degree: <Ctrl><Alt>Right arrow

You can enter this Hot Keys panel by pressing:
<Ctrl><Alt>F6

Or right click on the desktop you will find:
Graphic Option. Click on it and in the expanded balloon,
Click "Rotation"

On monitor menu. This, I have no information. Couldn't find it on my Dell E2011H menu.

Hope this helps.

My acer screen is sideways. how do i fix it?

Computer users occasionally have a need to rotate, or "flip," a monitor display to be better able to read long documents or to view pictures. Because rotating a computer screen is such a basic function, modern operating systems (Windows XP and up) include hot keys and display options that enable the user to rotate the computer screen by 90, 180 and 270 degrees. Rotating the computer screen allows for more display options. For instance, when rotated 90 degrees, a 1680x1050 monitor becomes a 1050x1680 monitor, which provides more vertical pixels than a standard display.

Windows XP/Vista Monitor Orientation
Minimize any windows or programs to the taskbar. Click the desktop. Press "CTRL" + "ALT" at the same time. Press one of the arrow keys to flip the monitor orientation by 90, 180 or 270 degrees. The left arrow rotates the computer screen 90 degrees; the down arrow rotates the computer screen 180 degrees; the right arrow rotates the computer screen 270 degrees; the up arrow resets the monitor orientation. Rotate the computer screen in Windows Vista by opening the Control Panel, searching for "Tablet PC" and changing the "Orientation" drop box to the desired rotation. b> Windows 7 Monitor Orientation b> Click the Start menu at the lower-left hand part of the screen, and open the Control Panel. Select "Display," then click "Change display settings" from the left column. When using multiple monitors, select the monitor that you would like to rotate. Click the drop box next to the "Orientation:" option. Select the desired rotation and click "Apply." Click "Keep Changes" or "Revert," depending on preference. Click "Apply" in the Display Settings window. Click "OK" to finish.

My hp laptop back ground rotated and i am not sure how to fix it

right click on the desktop in a clear spot and scroll down to the video control panel, it may be the nvidia or the ati control panel. If you have the nvidia control panel, look in theleft pane and you will see an entry for "Rotate" screen. Click on this until the screen looks right. If you have ati, it may say screen orientation or something similar.

Image on Dell 4700 Monitor has rotated 180 degrees

This should be a very fast fix.
First try pushing the Shift and Home key at the same time.
If that didn't do it,
Right click on the desktop,Click graphic properties,Click display settings,Uncheck the box "Enable rotation" and click ok.

Display rotation

Hello,

Fixing this is rather simple. Depending on what card you have, you'd need to get to the relevant section within the Advanced Display properties to access a "Rotation" settings page.

Here we go:
  1. Go to Start > Control Panel
  2. Double-click on Display - accesses Display Properties
  3. Click the Settings tab
  4. Click then Advanced tab on the bottom right hand corner.
  5. You'd then see another pop-up property page. Click through the tabs and see if you can find any options/tabs which take you to Display Settings.
  6. You'd then find "Rotation" - from which you'd need to select / apply the required rotation to get it back to normal.
Hope this helps. Do reply in case you need further help.

Thanks!
