2003 vz800 was in a small fire. Looks as tho only some burnt wiring. Replaced the main wire harness and now the fuel pump clicks on ignition and the neutral light does not come on when it's in neutral

The neutral light is a simple circuit ,when the ignition is on there should be a live feed to one side of the neutral light bulb holder the other side of it (earth) goes down to the neutral light switch which is earthed when the gear selector drum touches it(a bit sticks out) when in the neutral it's either a fault with the switch or the wire from the switch to the bulb holder is not connected or there's no live feed to the can just take the wire off the switch and touch it on a clean piece of the engine with no paint or lacquer on it if the neutral light comes on then the switch is faulty.

JEC0530ADB I have a 6/2 cable with ground presently can I use this wire for my new cooktop JEC0530ADB. Do I need a neutral for this unit.

The current cooktop worked with the 6/2 and thusly the new one should. It defiently advisable to use 6/3 wire but not necessary. It in essance already has a neutral using the ground, if the old one has any indicator lights that worked it used the ground as a neutral to complete the hot&neutral circuit necessary to light the indicator light. The indicators work off of a 120 volt circuit and 240 is needed to heat only

We have a twenty year old electirc jenn-air range with vented cooktop. the oven and range top both stopped working. digital clock only worked when light was turned on. repair man said it was not geting...

The problem may well be a loose NEUTRAL wire to the range. At the wire terminal on the range check for power from each supply leg(L1 to N) and (L2 to N) to neutral(should read 120 volts) and across each power leg (L1 to L2) should read 220 volts.
If you in fact have 220 volts into the range with good neutral contact the problem is a bad neutral(ground) in the wiring harness inside the range.

How do i wire a potterton programable controller

All you need to do is look at the wiring diagram on the back of the old room stat, you will have the following:

(normally wired with these colours)

Live (sometimes called common) - Red
Neutral - Blue
Switch Live - Yellow

Live - Brown
Neutral - Grey
Switch Live - Black

All you need to do is wire up the new stat with this in mind. (please note: if the wires are not colour coded like this then do not proceed and get an electrician)

Any problems or questions let me know

I hope this helps

My hyosung has stop runing it has no lights nothing is workeing at all can you tell what it can be

  • Is the battery 2 or more years old? It may need to be replaced. Check the fuses.
  • Before charging, add water to fill each battery cell to nearly full. Distilled water works best.
  • Use a 1amp or a 2amp battery charger
  • Is the kill switch on? Does the side stand have a kill switch? Is it working properly? Is the gas valve on?
If no spark, then check again but with a new plug.

  • Check the operation of the ignition switch and all kill switches with a volt ohmmeter. Check the wire harness. Did a wire come unplugged? Are all wires clean and with solid connections? Any abraded or pinched wires? Is the bike in neutral and the neutral light is lit up? If no neutral light, check the neutral switch and wire connection on the center gearbox casing.

Fan oven element not working

getting a shock just means that live is connected. if no heat, that means that no neutral assuming element is ok. do you have a multimeter so you can check if live and neutral present at element? are you sure old element was faulty as it seems strange that putting in a new element did not cure problem i have a memory that there may be a fan fail stat mounted close to the element. worth a check
