Question about Toshiba Computers & Internet
I have a toshiba a665-s6057 with a 16.0 led screen that i shattered not by dropping, works fine on an external, works fine with an 15.6 led screen but cant get it to work with the 16.0 screen. 16.0 test out fine on different laptop, 16.0 same number as original screen. replaced video cable also. dumped and reloaded windows, updated bios, purchased a different screen same number. same results backlight comes on dim, with no images. any ideas as to the problem?
If you can see the image on the screen with a flashlight then it's a problem with the inverter.

SOURCE: LCD dim.
If you have replaced the screen and the inverter, about the only thing left is the flexible cable from the monitor to the video card. I take it that the Fn+F8 makes no difference?

Have u tried replacing or trying a different power supply? Sometimes when a power supply is going bad will not put out the right voltage for the internal switch to kick up the brighter setting. Therefore it still thinks its on battery mode. Test the voltage from the supply and compare it to the recommended voltage gateway suggest for that laptop.
