Ive bitten the bullet and tried to fix it and it has worked. A black valve at the back on the pipe connected to the EXTERNAL FILLING LOOP I turned it the pressure returned to normal and the heating clicked on and hot water running through my taps. Ive solved my own problems.

I have a Whirlpool Clean Touch 11 cycle 3 speed. Agitator is not turning but when side pressure is applied it turns as long as pressure is maintained. All other aspects of the machine are working.

possibly the drive belt is worn o? If you are applying sime pressure you may be building some tensiond between the agitator and an otherwise loose belt?

RAds don't get hot anymore

rads not heating could be down to old system ie pipework etc and sludge building up. r there any cold spots on rads? when boiler turning off do u mean going to reset? if so could be over heat prob at boiler . there should be a pressure pipe coming from boiler going to outside if its a combi. if this is leaking your expansion vessel might need re charged as this is where the water will be going.
