I had this problem a few years ago but lived where there was a really helpful spares shop. The problem was that soap had clogged a part near the soap dispenser and I was told to tryand wash it out or the shop would be able to sell the part. I remember that I got to it by removing the top of the machine. Sorry I cant be more specific but it was a while ago and it was trial and error that finally solved it.

Washing Machine ' Fabric Softener ' Problem ' Won't Empty

The middle compartment in my drawer of the washing machine keeps filling with water and the water stays in there and won't empty by itself

This isn't unusual in the fabric softener compartment but in the other compartments it could be caused by soap residue build-up. It is wise to remove the drawer completely after every few washes and to check both the drawer and the aperture, especially the outlet holes that are exposed once the drawer is removed. Any blockages here could cause a flood while the washer is filling.

Liquid detergents cause fewer problems but many users prefer to place detergents directly in the drum with the laundry these days rather than using the drawer dispensers.

If in doubt I suggest you spend time reading the instruction leaflet and it is wise to add a white appliance engineer to your circle of friends for inside information and reasonably-priced repairs.

The soap tray fills with water at the back conditioner section on every run (no matter which programme) and does not drain, so I have to manually remove it and empty it after every load. I also think this...

Remove the detergent drawer by pulling it out and then pressing down the yellow part on the back of the drawer. Clean the drawer fully by hand in a washing up bowl using a mild detergent. Detach the yellow part from the grey part by turning it upside down and push in the clips gently. Clean the yellow part thoroughly. Put the yellow part back on - it just clicks back in place, and push your detergent drawer back in. Do an empty cotton wash at 85C (with no washing powder) to sanitise your machine.

remove the drawer and clean the siphon it sounds as if it is blocked up either with powder or concentrated fabric softener. this should fill up with water and then empty itself due to gravity. the siphon should look like an upside down cup on a cylinder.

Washing machine leaks from above door below soap dispenser

Check to make sure the washer is level and not leaning forward. If it is leaning forward as the dispenser fills it can sometimes force the water forward out of the drawer instead of emptying backwards to go to the drum.

Prewash flashing and machine Overfilling

Their is a small bowl connected by a see trough plastic pipe leading up to the preshour switch, that you will have to clean out the bowl and disconect the pipe from the presure switch and blow trough this to clean out any droplets of water. Replace then try the machine again, it may fill up again, dont dispair, empty the machine and re-blow trough the hose again with it disconected from the preshure switch. To empty the machine of water place the outlet hose into a bucket 3 or 4 times.
