Question about ESKY 001336 20C 11.1V 800mAh Lithium Polymer Battery

Battery won't charge up

I bought this battery as a spare some three months ago but it now fails to accept any charge from the charger. It has been fully charged and discharged a maximum of 10 times. Whern connected to the charger the red (power available) light shows and no green (charging) light is lit. The charger works as advertised on the other battery. Are there any connection issues with the battery's 4 connections? Can I take the protective layers off and check the connections myself? (Li-Po battery?)

Yes, I think the problem is in the battery but I don't suggest you check it yourself. Batteries contain hazardous chemicals when exposed. You can just buy another set or ask an expert to check for you.

One or more of the cells in the battery may have died while it wasn't being used. LI-Po batteries are memory resistant but they can still develop one if they're left fully discharged too long or at a half charge too long. They require full charge\discharge cycles to keep them from developing a memory.

Thanks for the response BB. Are you saying that the battery is not recoverable?

    Thanks again in advance

If you've tried charging it and it won't run whatever you're plugging it in to then most likely it is of no use.

You can test it with a multimeter after you charge it, simply put the red wire from the multimeter in to the red\white wire from the battery pack and the black wires together.
Turn the multimeter to VDC (DC Voltage), if it doesn't read anything or the voltage is MUCH lower than what the battery is supposed to be it is probably a lost cause.

    IE: Battery package reads 7.5volts
Multimeter reads (after charging the battery pack) 3.xx volts

My device is three months old. The charger is giving current as I am able to use it while plugged in, but will not charge at all. The device works beautifully in every other way accept for the charging...

Seems like internal battery charge controller has got fault or internal battery is not accepting charge. If it is under warranty then take it to the servicing centre.

try a different battery or use an external charger.... the battery could be faulty, or the camera charge function could be faulty.... a different battery will help you decide where the problem is.

Acer aspire m5 won't charge

it sounds like one of three things:

1. Battery itself no longer functions
2. Laptop Charger has inadequate amperage
3. The motherboard is defective (most likely).

If you have another battery, or a friend with the same battery, you can try that first (and someone else's laptop charger).

If the problem is the motherboard, you can try to have it repaired but I don't trust many companies to do this kind of work. I outsource my motherboard jobs to a company called Laptop Rescue ( Coincidentally, they also sell laptop chargers in case that's the problem. Hopefully it's just a charger or battery issue and not a motherboard.

Battery charger on quantum electric wheelchair starts out ember color then starts flashing red I check wires everything is plugged check it about 3 months ago everything was ok now th chair won't

Did you charge it at all during the 3 months? Did you store chair on a full charge? Check to see if batteries are dead. Batteries should be disconnected and/or stored on a full charge. If left connected they should be fully charge every week.

I purchased a brand new P113 Ryobi charger about 2 years ago. It has never worked. If I put a P104 battery in for a charge, it looks like it works correctly. I push the battery tester on the battery...

If you have your receipt, check with Ryobi to see if it is still under warranty. It comes with either a 2 or 3 year warranty, depending on when it was purchased. If it is still covered, get it replaced/repaired. If it is not, buy the P117 charger. $30 at Home Depot. It has a 90 day satisfaction guarantee. If it charges your batteries properly, you're good. If not, bring it back if you don't like/want it. My P113 won't get out of test mode now, or charge Lithium batteries anymore. So I bought the P117 yesterday. Works great, and it's a lot cheaper than new batteries! And it has a 3 year warranty.

One question please, I have makita cordlless

according to the schematic I saw yes you can and I think that you will be pleased with its performance, their operator manual even lists the weight of tool with this battery. Makita has a 1 year limited warranty on the Li-Ion battery that you might want to consider if you have the receipt.

Is the 10 amp se-40ma battery charger to big for my motorcycle battery can it over heat or over charge it

A battery that might sit for a month at a time, would only need a trickle charge or about 1 amp, a charger of this type can stay hooked to the battery for the whole month. A 10 amp would be for a quick charge or only about 4 - 12 hours depends on how fast the battery lost the charge. A 10 amp charge would cook the battery if left for days.
