ASUS P5RD2-VM Motherboard Problem

When I reinstalled my computer with Windows XP, the LAN card simply disappeared, I have tried with other operating systems (Obuntu) and it is the same. It is not that the card is shown in the device manager and needs a driver, instead the card is not detected at all!

The cheapest (10/100 around $30.00 us or less 10/100/1000 $50.00 us or so) & quickest would be go to a pci enet card and just skip the onboard altogether

Unable to install Radeon HD6450 2gb Graphic card on ASUS P5RD2-VM Motherboard. I am using 32 bit Window xp

Hi, you can download a manual here:

http://support.asus.com/Download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=P5RD2-VM&p=1&s=22

Please select your operating system.
Select manual and click on global.
Unzip the file before you can read it.
Upgrade the other drivers if some missing.
Run also windows update.

You may have to disable the onboard graphic in the bios.
You can also try to upgrade the bios by using the
asus upgrade utility.

The graphic card must be a PCI-E socket.
I guess the old driver is making a conflict as it is the same brand.

And download the latest driver for your graphic card here:

Hi My system motherboard is "p5rd2-vm series" my graphics card is gone... so which graphics card is avalable in the market now which wil suport for my system ?

i dont if you mean your graphics card or you cant see it this might be a driver issue

Want to make sure your drivers are in place and no errors have occurred? Simply click start right click on my computer select properties then select device manager scroll to Display Adapters and click on the small "+" you should see the model of your PCI Express graphic card there. If there is a problem with it, a yellow exclamation mark should appear besides it. If you don't see it everything is OK and your card is working properly.

If your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it

Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question exclamation mark ? mark ! or a red x right click select reinstall drivers if you don

double check if your audio driver is really installed, it's in the device manager area, if it's really installed maybe you have just muted your speakers, but if it doesn't work try to install a new speaker or headphone...goodluck
