Question about Acer Aspire 5600 Series 5630-6951 Laptop
Hi I have an Acer 5602 laptop. Last week it said that there was a blood hound virus which my NAV couldn't delete.
Anyway, next thing I know post re-start I cannot use my keyboard or my touchpad, when I started in safe mode all was fine.
I then proceeded to system re-store using Alt+F10, however the moment windows started I was unable to use my windows and or the touchpad.
If I try and use both the K'brd and the touch pad outside Windows i.e. F2 or F12 they work.
Not sure what is the matter; can you please advise as I can afford the repair costs?
Prior to any solution, please advise whether or not I will incur costs.
A place to start is in the safe mode. XP I'm assuming. Run the IE browser and go to tools, internet options and delete all temporary internet files. Delete all cookies. Close the browser. From the start menu, go to run, and type in prefetch in the window. Delete all the files there with edit, select all, delete them. Delete anything in the Recycle bin and restart. Run your updated virus scan.
After that we'll see. Leave a comment for follow up.
