SOURCE: I own a used Martin

Did you get the sub fixed? I know someone with the same problem - won't turn on, fuse is fine. May be due to different underlying problem, but wondered if you discovered what it was and if you got it fixed.

I have a Martin Logan Abyss subwoofer. It has a volume control that when touched explodes the volume. How do I fix this?

Actually the most likely answer is that the volume control knob (potentiometer ) needs cleaning internally or replacing

The lowest 20 amp fuse is burned out. every fuse I put in burns out immediately. what is it too,and how do I fix it?

You have a short circuit in the wiring or the mechanism that it goes to on that fuse line
So you will need to follow the wires on that fuse to check for dead short from a bared wire first then the items that it powers for damage or internal failure

Chevy code P1682?

P1682 Chevrolet - Ignition 1 Switch Circuit 2

Possible causes
- Faulty ignition switch
- Ignition Switch harness is open or shorted
- Ignition Switch circuit poor electrical connection
- Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)
What does this mean? What does this mean?
When is the code detected?
The ECM has detected a voltage deifference between two circuits
Possible symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Possible no crank or start
P1682 Chevrolet Description

There are 2 ignition 1 voltage circuits supplied to the Engine Control Module (ECM). The first ignition circuit is provided by the powertrain relay, through a fuse. This ignition 1 voltage circuit supplies power to all the internal ECM circuits associated with the throttle actuator control (TAC) operation. The second ignition 1 voltage circuit is supplied by the run/crank relay through a fuse, and is used to power the remaining internal ECM circuits. If the ECM detects a voltage difference between the 2 ignition 1 voltage circuits, DTC P1682 will set

No sound from speakers has a fuse blown

If fuse has been blown means power capacity of the subwoofers exceeded the actual power transmitted.Subwoofers capacity cant hold on to the actual power transmitted. If you replace a new fuse check first if internal circuit was not damaged .When a fuse blown out its an indication that something wrong happened within the circuit.Check first subwoofer line if there was short circuit using a tester.Select OHMS mode and try to check both lines. If no movement it means you have it check to a service technician to fix.

The autolamp system, controlled by the vehicle security module, supplies voltage to the same circuits used by the headlamp switch to power the exterior lamps when low light conditions are detected.

Brookstone Wafer-thin CD with MP3 player circuit failure...why?

sure, ur power amp section is completely shorted. meaning it is totally fried. get it repaired. it was a stupid idea to jump the fuse. u cud fry the whole thing!!! i sincerely hope it is only the power amp. if it is more than that u have only urself to blame. remember looks can be deceptive.

Subwoofer blows internal 1.25A fuse when plugged in.

Any fuse blowing is caused by an overload in either the power section or the amp part. Look arond for burnt or damaged parts first. It could be caused by a shorted transistor, but your best bet is to follow the circuit from the fuse on the PC board.

Neither the amp or the sub have grounded power cords.

I have discovered the ML Dynamo takes about 30 minutes to switch to standby in auto mode.

With speaker level inputs connected to the Onkyo A807 amp, both units powered from the same wall outlet, Dynamo sub on Auto, the sub hums for about half an hour after the Onkyo is switched off, then the sub goes quiet. Not so good.

I connected a bonding wire between the two units on 3_7_09. If I smoked some old audio gear I could just look at that as an opportunity, right?

Works fine. Now I have the ML powered from the wall and working normally.
